In a small lab, somewhere in Gloucester, there sits a young man. He is being is interviewed. The man doing the interviewing is about twenty or so years the young man's senior, and has quite a presence, or so he thinks.
"So, Charles, as I was saying..." " -Robert, sir, Robert-" "Right, Philip- as I was saying, you're resume is very good, and I am very glad to have you on the team." as the older man concludes the interview, he stands, pushes in his chair, and in a very dignified manner proceeds out the door and into the hallway, his expensive shoes making a click-click-click.
When the young man who calls himself Robert can no longer hear his boss prancing down the hallway, he turns back to his work. crazy old coot... His job is testing new hair care products on these strange, small animals whos name escapes him right now. One combusts, ane dissappears, one turns to dust. One seems alright until in a scream of pain it multiplies, then it and its clone both die.
Remembering what they are called, he turns back to his work. Primitive species, yes. But a very interesting species. Very interesting indeed.
What are they called again... gorillas, giraffes dogs... Oh yes, humans.
