Dick and Lynn were helped into their dress coats as they stood in the side doorway of the grand old house.

Dick looked the host in the eyes and said "well, you outdid yourself tonight. This was one to remember."

Lynn nodded emphatically as she cupped one hand of the hostess in both of hers. "Really, it was a dream! It saddens me though, to think these celebrations are coming to an end."

"Oh, nonsense," said the hostess. "Our moving next year doesn't change a thing, does it dear?"

The host assumed a stoic look and shook his head. "Not at all. In fact, I'm insisting that you two attend next year's celebration, and the years after that - even if we have to fly you there ourselves. We enjoyed the words you spoke tonight, Dick. They were very powerful. More than a few heads turned around."

Dick smiled sheepishly. "Well, I'm just glad everything went off without a hitch. That thing with the children, you must have prepared them for a long time."

Again, Lynn nodded eagerly and flashed a slightly forced smile. "Yes, I agree. The children were exquisite, weren't they dear?"

"That they were, my Love. If you will, Mr. President, please give our compliments to the chef."
