Walking alone me and my girl.

As she dances, spins, laughs, and twirls.

A sudden change happens with in a flash.

As one man says give me all of your cash.

Taking a step back I dig in my pocket.

But one of the men reaches for my wifes golden locket.

Not knowing what to do I dive to the floor.

And then heard a sound that struck at my core.

Within  that second a bang filled the air.
For the life of my wife those two did not spare.

Looking back I see the two men are gone.

As my wife just lies there dying so young.

I look to the sky with tears in my eyes.

Wondering why my wife had to die.

Its been tens years down to this day.

And still fill my wife I had just betrayed.

If only I where a man and stood my ground.

Not hiding away cowering down.

I like the story you have told here, and I honestly hope its not drawing from your personal experiences. I would say that this poem is about something concrete, and is relatable to everyone by picturing it hapening to them

this reminded me of that hugh jackman movie where close to the same thing happened to him and his fiance, so he invented a time machine and was always searching for her.. i cant remember the name.

anyway, i'm not saying that you stole that concept because yours is different. I'd just check the spelling in the last bit there but otherwise its good =]

.1101101.

The all time question, what would I have done different in such and such situation, where the outcome is life or death. There is no way to know what would have been done or what could have been done. There is only your life and the remorse you feel for not taking action or taking action every choice we make has its own consequences.

It is up to us to deal with them.

Chivalry

Nobody, but nobody, (exept perhaps Bruce Willis, who has read the script) knows what they will do if a gun is drawn on them.

This reaction was as reasonable as any other.

Hope it was imagination.

Several movies here, but a good read nonetheless.

Valid emotions from the survivor.

Very sad.
