James stared in disbelief. He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. His love, his soul, his everything dead. Lying there in a puddle of blood on the sidewalk. Something caught his eye... It was his necklace! Of course, she always wore it. It was a iron brown leaf on a string. A spot of blood clung to it. A memoir of Lacey... "Kill me too." he said. Tuck had not left yet. He stood there in another world. "No, I will not kill you as well. It's bad enough I killed her." "Go then, before the cops come." What? This guy doesn't want me killed? "You don't want me killed?" "Why would I? Lacey certainly wouldn't. She loved you just a much as she loved me." "Hmm.." "You didn't love her?" "Of course not." "Leave. If you don't, you will be caught." "Fine, I'll leave but give her a proper \burial." "Of course." Oh Lacey, that man did not deserve you. He didn't love you like I did. You didn't deserve to die. I will miss you dearly. Where would he bury her? But he remembered her words... When I die James, I want to be cremaded. I want you to spread my ashes, wherever you wish. For you have always held my heart. The honor of spreading my ashes belongs to you. Of course he would do just that. Her wish would be filled. Where to spread the ashes he didn't know. He thought for a few seconds. Then the place was revealed to his mind. The pond of her home. He was shown it when she asked him over. That would be the place. I won't just spread your ashes, Lacey. I spread your love. Love for others, the world and God. This feeling needs to be passed on. This feeling of love. The End. Copyright 2008 Candee Ivy |
