Looking out of this same window,

The direction the earth spins does not change,

Am I the only one who thinks it strange,

That in this world where chaos is king,

That there are so many things,

Which remain so unchanging,

For instance me, as I preach on,

In every one of my stupid songs,

I give out such good advice,

But i can't take it,

No,

Now on my soap box, I'm on this high horse,

And I'm thinking that I might jump,

But don't you worry, I probably won't die,

I'll just fall and break my precious pride,

But no harm done,

You took care of that one,

The view stays the same,

It never will change,

It's always shitty,

The view stays the same,

It never will change,

It's ******* shitty.

Sauce

Seems like sauce for the goose is not for the gander. But the grass on the other side is always green. In the light of above observations, your poem makes me ponder. The view fron your window is unusual.

I've seen that view many times and your poem was worthy in how well it articulated the subject.

Yeats said that 'all we have to do is change the minds view by less than one degree to see a whole new world'

Worth thinking about?

It could possibly look even shittier

I thought this was good. you got your point across intelligently and you didnt beat around the bush. I agree with what Yeats said though.. just one fraction of one degree is all it takes eh? =]

I enjoyed this a lot. Brilliantly written. I don't know why, but that image of jumping of the horse still lingers on in my head.

I think the flow on the second to last stanza could use some reworking but besides that it was a good read. Then again if its a song and it flows with the music then there's no reason to change it. Yep.

Good poem.
