Hm ... I'm sure there is a Poetic meaning behind this that I just can't find. Maybe with time it'll come to me. I liked how quick it zipped by, and I thought some of the rhymes were clever.
Good work. + Report this comment

Been thinking about this one all day, read Max's comments and now think I've got it (here goes).
A tale of courage in standing up to your fears(?) and the resultant failure (in defeat) if you run away from them.
If that's it, good poem. If not, bugger I need to think again.

i read that we'll keep fooling ourselves about winning until we actually do...
nice thing about poetry - everybody reads it differently when it's somewhat obtuse; sometimes never coming near what the writer is writing about...
poetry typically drives me crazy - but i have to stand and face the challenge of reading it - because somebody wrote it. sometimes i walk away successful, sometimes i walk away thinking i have been successful, sometimes i walk away confused.
write on! + Report this comment

This was good at face value. I can't say I get the meaning of this poem completely, but the format is different, and they rhythm was good. It appears that you've combined two lines into one line throughout.. I dont know if that was done on purpose, but it works =] + Report this comment

I think that this poem stands for "Standing up against confrontation". A bull represents a tough obstacle, and it is a sin to run away from it (although I don't like that choice of words). Someday, you have to take a stand, even if you might be slain by defeat (slayed is not a word). I could be totally wrong though. + Report this comment
