Haunted Sorrow

I catch a ride upon the wind
To take me with the night
There's no way I'm staying here
When things feel far from right

They can occupy my room
As long as I'm away
But they need to understand
I want it in the day

Not only are they bothersome
They also freak me out
Just the way their vacant eyes
Seem filled with aimless doubt

Spirits haunt this sorrowed place
Though very few believe
What's gone wrong with dead and gone
Is some refuse to leave

First off let me say (or type) that the title is so cool sounding. Haunted Sorrow...

Now, this poem was just kickass sounding. Written with a creepy little tone to it. good stuff you have here.

Hauntingly romantic, Byronic and Shellyan.

Nice piece.

I absolutely loved the topic. The title was awesome and the poem was wonderful in itself. Your language is gorgeous and that picture is pretty creepy in itself. Wonderfully done! Beautiful work.

When reading this I could picture a young girl sitting on a iron framed bed with a simple white quilt. Her hard in a long braid down across one shoulder. Her hands folded in her lap. She is neither pleading nor crying, but just imploring.

I loved this. Brillantly written with a nice flow or words.

Bravo

this was a very good poem. its like something you could use as like a quote for the ghost hunters series, or the physic kids show. it is kinda creepy, but understood. i used to hear my dead dog's nails clicking on the floors, and she used to crawl in my bed at night, as a ghost, but she wasnt there to hurt anyone.

feeling backwards

maybe it's the room 1135 side of me - but i read this from the spirit side until i got to the comments.

being a happy spirit and having your space invaded by a bunch of grumpy ones, or a bright energy in a place of sadness...

wonderful as always, sara

Good description

... of those who have "seen" things they cannot explain and cannot get anyone to believe or understand.

Too often the request is simple in such cases, it seems, but the response is so complex.

A nice piece of work covering several aspects of a "haunting."

At least, that's what I thought.
