The Rainy Day Man |

His name was really Robert, but most people called him the Rainy Day Man. He was called this because he always had a rain cloud over his head; raining down upon him. Nobody wanted to stand near him for fear of getting wet. So Robert was quite lonely. And sad. He was a fisherman and had to be constantly pumping water out of his boat. He caught many a fish, though. Rich he was because of all the fish he caught. And yet, still he had no friends. Robert didn't know why it was always raining on his head. He didn't really care. Just wanted to make it stop. One day Robert saw someone else with a rain cloud over their head. So Robert ran to meet him; hoping that this man would except him. But this was no man, Robert discovered, but a woman. It was love at first sight. Robert ran to confess his undying love to the woman. As he got closer his storm cloud collided with her storm cloud. The storm clouds battled it out until they both just evaporated. Robert and the woman fell deeply in love and they were married that day. Copyright 2008 Lily Qwert |
