    A blurry glare shines through the window. His throat is dry. Cars honk and merge on the freeway outside. His head hurts as he looks through the cabinets for a glass that hasn't held poison yet. He doesn't find one so he cups his hand and ladles water from the faucet to his sore lips. He wonders how it got there but realizes that water invented freeways. I'll just go to work tomorrow, he thinks. Maybe I'll make pancakes when I wake up later.

my thoughts

Quite short, but intriguing none the less. I like how you left it vague so the reader gets to draw their own conclusions. I think it would have been a little bit more imaginative to the reader if it had been longer... But I am sure that is what you were going for... I adore your style.
