Bracing his back against a nearby wall, he did his best to stand up, not wanting to let anyone know how weak he was right now. "Why am I here? If you don't mind me asking." She couldn't help but smirk as he crossed his arms over his chest, attempting to be collective. "I don't mind answering all of your questions, if you would please answer some of mine that is." Eden lifted her skirt a bit before kneeling on the floor. Looking up, she saw his nod in agreement. Patting the ground beside her she began to talk. "A woman went missing several days ago, her parents wondered if you might know of he whereabouts, you being the last person she was seen with." "Elizander? Are you talking about Elizander Anries?" Heero fell to the floor hard as he lost his hold on the wall. Heero, are you alright?" she said leaning closer to him. His vision began to blur again, everything blacking out. "Elizander." As he whispered the woman's name, Eden realized he'd blacked out. Sighing, she placed her hands firmly on his scalp, concentrating. All of Heero's thoughts ran though her mind, showing her the truth she had come for. "Guards!!" she shouted, "Guards!!" As everyone came rushing in, Eden shot off orders very sternly, pulling Heero into her lap. "Someone get me water and help me move this man to a cot." She became upset as the men stood there staring at her. "Now!!"

"Heero." he could hear his name being whispered. "Elizander?" he whispered back. "No Heero, it's me, Kiera." "Kiera?" He was confused. "What are you doing here?" What do you mean silly? Your home, back in Ombsin. We've all missed you so very much." she cooed. Heero's younger sister was getting more irritating by the moment. "Where is Elizander? Did they find her yet? She told me she..." "They found her dead outside the gates of her home the evening you came back." she interrupted. Looking him in the eye she asked, "Heero, what happened? Did you...hurt her?" "No, that's outrageous. For you of all people to even think such evil of me." He turned away with a disgusted look on his face. "Leave." was all he could manage through clenched teeth. "What?" "Leave!" he shouted, sitting up fast, before turning an angry stare on her. As she turned to walk out, someone knocked on his chamber doors. Opening them, Kiera found a beautiful woman standing before her. "I apologize for showing up unannounced, but by any chance would Heero Kuri be in there?" Suddenly Heero's ears perked up and his sight became sharper as he looked to the door way. 'Elizander.' he shook his head before swinging his legs off the edge of the bed. Moving off completely, he made his way across the room. "Yes, he is, but I don't think..." Kiera stopped as the woman stepped passed her to greet Heero. "Eden Shinzo." He bowed before her. "What can I do for you at such a time as this?" Eternity Shinzo!!" Kiera said eagerly. "Leave Kiera, I will not say it again." Heero shut the door hard as she scurried out. "I'm here to speak with you about Elizander Anries." Eden said calmly as he turned to face her. "Heh." he walked across the room to an open window. "She's dead. I know. Jobs done. You may leave now." "Heero, I understand how your feeling, but there is no reason to be so rude." Sighing, she sat on the edge of the bed. "I am sorry for what happened to her, to Elizander, you really loved her, tried to die for her. Yet, she never showed you the same feelings, only shallow images of those you deserved." His head whipped around to face her. "How do you know all of that? How could you?" Making his way back across the room, Heero stood in front of her. "I have a gift, one that allows me to read minds." Eden looked at him a bit sadly. "Although, I'm usually not the one who needs to use it." He shook his head, aggravated. "I don't need this right now. I don't care who you are and I don't believe what you claim. You don't know me or Elizander." Huffing loudly he walked back to open the chamber doors. "I want to be alone now." Eden sighed again, standing to approach him. "Heero, I know how you feel, but I'm not going to pity you." she stood in the doorway, not in or out enough for him to close the door. "Your right however, you do need to be alone, but not in the way you are trying to be." With that she left him to himself. The door closed loudly as he pushed it, walking across the room once more. "What's she talking about, not in the way you are trying to be." he mimicked her words. It was beginning to rain he noticed as the drops hit a pond near by. ‘What the hell is that supposed to mean?' Heero shut the window hard before stomping off towards the door way. Swinging it open, he let the heavy wood hit the hard stone wall. She smiled to herself as Heero's voice boomed through the corridors. The echoing became less as he came closer to the room she'd found tucked away from everything else in the manor. Finally reaching his destination, Heero closed and bolted the doors behind him before turning to find Her sitting there, smiling sweetly at him. "Hello Heero." "Elizander?" Copyright 2008 Caitlin |
