ImageThere is one kind of vampire,
That hides in the darkness,
Afraid of the light,
Ready to bite, brand you
With two deadly teeth marks
Upon your neck
Where it's sucked your blood:
Your essence of mortality.

But there is a second kind of vampire,
That takes to dark streets,
Its face unseen as it prepares to
Reveal its deadly weapon:
A knife glinting moonlight,
Ready to stab, slice you
And see your blood spill
Onto that lonely pavement.

The essence of mortality is lost in death,
As another person takes their last, rattling breath.

There is one vampire and the other is a monster, out to take life out of any innocent being. You have given an excellent view of life in the streets. Lovely poem.
