Acquiesced 




Coldness I now hope to be
I felt within your tone
Tells me that it's time to cut
My heart out on my own

First I'll turn the other cheek
The one that isn't bruised
That way I can blindly state,
'Emotions are excused'

Feeling more like nothing now
Expels my tired pain
Making room for emptiness
My weakness stands to gain

Now I'll try to organize 
Through gathering of thought
Keeping every other lie
To speak where truth cannot

Asking of my busy dreams
'Don't bother anymore'
Silences that silly love
My heart just won't ignore

Next my sorrow severs life
As distance grows within
So my soul can disengage
And I can live again
