(Note: this is quite self-explanatory but in order to understand the story, you need to read Part One before Part Two)
"What's going on? This isn't another emergency drill?" I asked Jordan again.
"No, they wouldn't have a drill this time of night. Let's just hope that it's not what I think it is," he told me. He looked all around him as if searching for something. The night fog was quite heavy and the only thing that I could make out was a small light in the distance. That was quite strange, since there usually was nothing but darkness around the ship at night. It must be another boat because we were too far away from shore for it to be something on land. I couldn't remember an occasion that we had ever seen another boat. Within a matter of seconds the light went out.
"Do you see that light?" he asked me.
"Yes, what is it?" I asked.
"My worst fear," he replied, "I know that they're coming. Listen to me, you got to go below deck now."
"No, I'm not leaving you here alone. I'll only go if you go with me," I said.
"I can't go below deck; I've got Captain's orders to stay here. You promise me that you'll go below deck. I just don't want you to get hurt or anything," he told me. His face was stern and I was quite surprised at this new Jordan. I knew that Jordan was serious and that I should go below deck.
"Okay I will," I lied. I had no intention of going below deck; my plan was to let Jordan think that while I hid behind a stack of lounge chairs. I went inside but instead of going towards the elevators, I walked to another exit and came back out into the dark night. While I was walking through the inside, all of the outside lights had been turned off. It took a while from my eyes to adjust. I then crept to the stack of lounge chairs and hide behind them, out of sight. From where I was I could faintly see Jordan. He was taking orders from someone. I put the gun that I still had in my hands into my huge purse, hoping that I wouldn't have to use it. I sat in silence for several minutes until I saw what appeared to be someone setting a plank of wood onto our ship a few feet in front of me. I was quite scared now. One part of me told me to play hero and threaten whoever it was with the gun. Another part of me told me to stay still because I didn't know how many of them there were and if they had any weapons. I just sat there, frozen.
What felt like an eternity later, although it was probably only a matter of seconds, chaos broke out. There was tons of intense sword fights breaking out, like something I had only seen in movies. "They're on deck. Turn the lights back on so we can see who we're fighting," someone shouted. He was right, in the darkness it was hard to make out who was on what side. I had even lost sight of Jordan amidst the fighting. The lights suddenly turned on again and I was blinded by the brightness for a second. I saw more clearly who these invaders were before my eyes. They were dressed as pirates, except for the one Jordan was fighting, who was dressed as a Samurai. If I hadn't been so scared, I might have laughed because the lone Samaria amidst the pirates was quite a comical scene.
"Take as much stuff as you can carry on to our ship and then come back for more," someone from behind me said as he came out of the back door. He stood guard by the door and yelled at the looters to hurry up. I then thought back to Jordan. I turned my head and saw that the Samurai had him pinned to the ground. I wanted to jump out of my hiding spot and help him, but I had the guy that was guarding the door behind me. I decided that I had to do something now. I was already angry at myself for not stopping the people who had crossed the plank. I just jumped out of my hiding spot and began running over to where Jordan was. Nobody cared, just as long as I wasn't is anyone's way or trying to stop the looters. I had almost reached Jordan and then it happened. The two of them had been in a struggle with Jordan pinned to the ground resisting the tall, blond young man dressed as a Samurai. The Samurai raised his sword and in one swift movement stabbed Jordan.
"No!" I yelled. I knew that it wasn't the most intelligent thing to say and that it wouldn't help at all, but I couldn't help calling out. The Samurai backed away and ran to join the looters. I ran over to Jordan and tried to stop the blood from bleeding, but it was too late. His body lay lifeless on the deck. All of the love, sadness, and anger began to boil up inside of me. It was a whirlwind of emotions as I lost all contact with my brain and clear judgment. I saw the Samurai come out of the back entrance with an armful of goods and the pirates were beginning to retreat back to their ship with the stolen items. There was an unoccupied plank of wood that led to the other ship close to me. I had this insane idea to follow the Samurai onto his ship and fight him. I didn't care at the time whether I lived or died and I knew that this would be suicide. Like I said, I had lost all of my clear judgment. I ran across the plank and jumped onto the other ship.
"Don't move," I heard a voice behind me say when I finally landed on the ship. I turned my head and saw that the person had a sword against my back. That was not good. "Why are you here?" he asked me.
"He killed him," was all that I managed to say as I pointed at the Samurai.
"Princeton, get over here," he told the tall blond boy. "What do you know about this lady who jumped ship? All she's telling me is that you killed someone."
"That was a nasty fight. I really didn't want to, but the stupid kid kept squirming. I couldn't hold him down forever so it came down to either me or him. Clearly I chose me. I'm not really sure why she's here though," he said.
"The captain isn't going to like this," the guy behind me said. "I say that we make her walk the plank before he finds out and gets mad at us."
"No. Don't be stupid Aaron. Just take her to the captain or Eric. One of them should make the decision," Princeton said. "Well why don't you take her to the captain then?" Aaron asked.
"I'm not taking her to the captain you can. You found her, you should take her to either the captain or Eric," Princeton said.
"Well Eric won't do anything because he'll go right to the captain and just say that I found her and didn't know what to do. And I'm not talking to the captain. You know what he said, one more mess up and he'll-" Aaron suddenly fell silent. A crowd that had gathered around us parted to create a pathway as a tall figure in a hooded sweatshirt came forward.
"What's going on here?" the figure asked. He was close to us now and everything was dead silent. The only thing that I could hear was the sound of my breathing. I looked up to the embroidery on his sweatshirt. It read: Captain Zach.
