Spent The Day With An Angel

With rays of sunshine on my face

I still search for someone new, worth my praise

Spent the day flying through the air

During the flight I met an angel, her skin so fair

She decided to accompany me on my search

She took us so high, far away from the barren earth

I couldn't help it, my eyes kept finding her wings

Graceful feathers really make to be beautiful things

And her eyes, looked magnificent in the light

Looking in them gave me a sense of comfort

Like everything was going to be alright

She showed me a galaxy of peace, with no decay

She said "Not everything created will lead to betray"

But then back down to earth we descended

With a tear in her eye, she said our time now has ended

As I watched her wings become tiny dots in the sky

I turned away and chose to fix what was broken in my life

Did yer sell yer soul or something?

Maybe dodge bullet?

What up with you?

Yer are blowing me away by how much yer already wonderful talent has advanced.

Aye, that make me smile all the way with shiny eyes.

This is so beautiful Cody.

....

Liked how this embodied some sort of epiphany; one that steers closer to mending things, than staying glued to the same self-destructive spot.

angle on angels

Oh, a glimmer of hope.

I do not particularly look for candy coating but I was about to suggest that you have the wrong nom de plume

Sorrow is your countenence, not your mask.

Unless you are giggling like mad behind it.

Save the world by all means.

But you will never do it without living it.

Decide whether you are going to be remembered for being effectual, or affected.

Kind regards

Harmattan
