The hardest thing I had to do,

trying to let you go.

Seeing you everyday,

I wanted to say,

What I felt with you.

Safe. Loved. Hopeful. Free.

But now I see,

That you don't feel the same.

It tortures me to see,

The sadness in your eyes.

So, now, how I say 'I love you.'

The hardest thing to do,

setting you free,

feels like it's killing me.

Its sad when your feelings dont match those of one you care for, your poem expresses this well.

It may seem the hardest thing but it is the best thing to do when a relationship has ended. There is no love so it is better to part ways mutually and amicably even though it kills. Sad.

I feel the intensity of emotion with the words.

Lines 4-6 threw me off and I spent too much time trying to figure out why the words didn't flow smoothly. Maybe instead of what, how? I don't know. Anyway, this is a pretty good poem.
