I'm so sorry I let you down.

Brought you to the ground.

And made you frown.

 

I'm so sorry I wasn't right.

I didn't hold you tight.

Or help you sleep at night.

 

I'm so sorry that I wasn't there.

I'm sorry that I didn't care.

And, I'm sorry I didn't share.

 

I'm so sorry I wasn't good.

Loved like I should.

Did what I said I would.

 

I'm so sorry that I doubted you.

That I didn't care on cue.

That what I said was untrue.

 

And I'm so sorry I loved too much.

When you didn't want it as such.

Both legs you had but I was a crutch.

Let me clarify

My previous comment. The poem was good. It was my comment about the poem that I found lame. The poem was not lame in any way shape or form. Great job as usual...your writing style is fantastic
