How I wished I were just dead! I kept cursing myself of not listening to anybody. I wanted to build my own identity and this is how I get it? Oh my god, why me. Why don't they just kill me? What is taking them so long? Why can't they just finish with me? I just sat in the corner as tears rolled down my eyes and I see this group of men getting rather rough with each other. They all want to be the first to undress me. Tension is getting high amongst them, will this be a good chance for me to run away.

Earlier that morning I was running to catch a cab, so that I could reach the school on time, when I was pulled into this huge vehicle. I was thrown on the floor of the moving van and pinned down on the floor. I was too sacred to scream for help. I just lay there helplessly looking at those dirty looking rascals starring at me. I knew the vehicle was taking me away from city and they all started to laugh. They all had such a disgusting laugh, wish if they would be laughing the same way if it were one of their daughters here on the floor instead of me.

I loved kids and since Shiv and I could not have one of our own I started teaching kids at school. Shiv and I had so many fights over this. He wanted to adopt a baby but his mum wouldn't allow us. She on numerous occasions had told Shiv to leave me and marry someone else, who could bear him a child but Shiv was too much in love with me. Shiv in his line of duty was always under fire. After all his was a police commissioner and he had made so many enemies in the past few months than he had in his entire career.

The sound of breaking glasses and bottles brought me to reality. There were no kids neither was Shiv around. He would have gone mad by now, I thought to myself. I have been missing over 12 hours now; he must be desperately looking for me everywhere. He should have by now gathered that I have been kidnapped, which he had always warned me about. I hated myself for placing him in this situation today. By now the breaking of the glass had increased and the laughter had started. I got up and looked around. No window at all, just one door and it leads me straight into their room.

I felt sick and I started to throw up. They must have heard me since the laughter had stopped. One of them came and opened the door, as others followed. They all stood and looked at me with great concern. But again they burst into laughter. Heard one of them say, I think the commissioner was about to get promoted to a father's position. I starred at them in shock; they were right, as I was a month overdue. Oh God, please don't do this to me now. Let me live and let the baby inside me live.

I was punched and I fell on the floor. One of the monsters kept kicking me on my stomach and my side. I was gripped in great pain and it felt as if I was being stabbed with thousands of knives at once. I was about to loss conscious but with every laugh I seem to regain my conscious, not with fright but with anger. "Let's cut her open and put the glasses inside her, I heard someone say." I want to die and I want to die now but not this way.

A huge dark man came with a scissors and started cutting my pants. He tore of the pants and took a knife out. He made a slit on my leg. The blood poured out freely and few others pushed in the broken bottles and glasses into the slit. I could not understand, which was more painful. The kicks in my tummy or the slit in my leg. Once he had finished with one leg the same was done to the other. I kept closing my eyes, nearly loosing conscious but regained with every slit that was made on my body.

By now I was naked and covered in my own blood. Every part of my body was bleeding but I was not in pain. All I wished was for death but even death was playing games with me tonight. I lay barely conscious on the floor when I heard vehicles in a distance. There was a rush amongst everyone and I heard everyone was leaving in hurry. What's the use, I will be dead anyway. "Is she dead, is she dead, I heard them shouting, and shots were fired at me. I lay in a pool of blood facing the doorway, upside down. My eyes stuck to the door wishing to see Shiv once, just once, before I can close my door. Why was he taking so much time?

The door opened and I saw shoes and heaps of them. There were shouts and agony in everyone's voice. "Don't let him come through, don't let him come through, someone standing near my foot was shouting." There were screams and I knew it was Shiv. The cries and the screams faintly seemed to be disappearing. Finally my soul got what it wanted, peace, just peace.
