 I suppose a little explanation is necessary.
There may have been the false impression that this certain story was taking place in America. That is not the case. This story takes place in a completely different world from ours, which happens to hold the country of Zimmarria. As I stated previously it was to this country that the threesome were taking Amelia.
You may be somewhat confused now. Well, this world is not so different from our own, except for a few certain things. For instance, this world is not as advanced as ours. The only reason there was a truck in this world is because someone from our world, who happened to stumble on a time traveling device, suddenly swept himself out of our world and into this new one. He happened to somehow bring his vehicle with him. Maybe he drove into the time traveling device. The particulars are unknown. Zimmarria royal personnel confiscated the vehicle and murdered the man- a sad incident altogether. Now the queen's spies use the truck for missions outside of the country. So, from that I am sure you can figure out the line of work that Wayne, Ajax and Jason are immersed in- spy work for the queen of Zimmarria. The three best in-fact.
Oh, and the name of this new world is Endomerion.
Onward with the explanation.
As mention afore, the ruler of Zimmarria is Queen Andammar, who was full of deceit at heart and whose only want was power and fame. Not much different from some in our world, right?
The queen stole the throne from her stepfather as he lay on his deathbed. The king had destined his son to be the next to occupy his throne, but was thwarted in those plans by his daughter's rise to power. Needless to say, he tried to disinherit her, but she was already too powerful.
The princess, now queen, tried to make her young stepbrother disappear, but was prevented by a certain series of events, which we will not take the time to explain now.
Queen Andammar's greatest fear was that someone would one day steal her throne. Such a fear needed something to suppress it. Thus the need for spies.
Now, the queen was justified in this fear since many had hatred growing inside their hearts for her. Many plots had arisen to overthrow her, but all were found out and crushed.
All but one. A new power was rising not unknown to the spies of the queen. Many had tried and failed to find any details on this plot. All they knew was that it existed. A new spy was needed. Thus Wayne, Ajax and Jason were sent on a hunt for this new spy with specific instructions. They happened to find exactly what was need and her name was Amelia.
Amelia had lived in a neighboring country by the name of Blymiron. She was taken capture and is currently being transported back to a city not far from the capital city of Zimmarria.
The tide was about to change in Zimmarria.
