Chapter 10

Fallen

After making a deal with this monster to kill that psycho Sergei I pulled my hand back out from his covered in his gross, redish/white skin. This stairwell was gradually turning darker and darker by the second the bluish tint in the walls was slowly growing darker as well, the lights dimed further leaving us with little light all we could see was the glows around the patient's necks, and of course the monsters whole body and more howls and screams came from above. "Do you know what those are?" I asked the monster, he shrugged "I've.. been... out.. here... awhile" Pukey started mutating I realized why he was puking so much, everybody reacts to this haze differently, isn't that what Dr. Kneeler said? He was infected head to toe where others just had the throat. If he wasn't transforming right beside me i wouldn't have noticed. His eyes natural blue colour was being torn apart by his newly red coloured ones. Wings spurted out of his back and as if God wanted him to become an angel.His rugged Jeans & T-Shirt combo became a heavenly cloak  

 All around us time seemed to slow and the monster's first sign that he would kill Sergei shone through as he stabbed this new monster with  his sharp tounge. As these heavenly angel wings sprawled out of his back he let out a loud shreik, the monster seemed pleased "Get...them...before... turn...It's...easier" but this one wasn't as weak as the other ones, this new angel monster's mouth opened wide revealing rows upon rows of teeth the monster's head was no match and was instantly separated from it's body and as he swallowed the head those angelic wings drooped down and became as slick and oily as if they were covered in tar."Oh my God! what the hell!" I yelled.

He looked at me with his half human half monstrous face and smiled and in a sort of dual voice he said "I will help turn on the power but that is all the help I'm giving after this I will become your nightmare, Embrace the darkness Jake and you... will.. become POWERFUL!" and with that sentance's end he shot a ball of light right at the ground below us, shattering the cement into pure rubble. As we fell we landed back into the room outside the freezer. "Wow what a ride" I said as i  regained my balance and opened the door to the freezer, "We're baac....." Sergei turned and shot me right in the arm "UGH... what the ****!!" I yelled at him "Don't plan to kill the devil, that's the easiest way to get burned, child." he said in a hellish voice his eyes flickered red, just as the angel's had  few minutes ago. I sat down and realized I could'nt do anything by myself. I was not as experienced as anyone here, in life anyways.I am almost 20 almost, Sergei can control his mutation, Pukey's gained control of his monster form, everyone gets something different while i'm stuck at the low level."I hope i get infected just to become more powerful then you, SERGEI" I said proud 

Suddenly the growls and moans became one loud synced noise, I could feel it tearing my ear drums apart but it seemed to relax Sergei. The doctor lay still through all of this noise. But after the howls and moans from upstairs seized, a loud bang, thousands of footsteps and a whole bunch of yelling crashed through the downstairs, hopefully on the ground floor. Either the army had just arrived or people are fighting a giant centipede downstairs. If what the bat monster said was true, the army would have scientists coming for us, to get our "clean" blood and who knows what a giant centepede would want but it couldn't be fun.

"Hail Mary Full of Grace The Lord Is With Thee Blessed Are Thou Amongst Women And Blessed Is The Fruit From Thy Womb Jesus Holy Mary Mother Of God Pray For Us Sinners Now And At The Hour Of Our Death AMEN" was carved into the Reverend by none other then Sergei as the signature at the bottom of his exposed stomach showed. Please Lional wake up soon, nap times OVER. Sergei's smile grew and grew as the real horrors began to unfold.

Not only that but it feels like you were trying to cover up something you didn’t want (Bat Man) with Pukey. But I spose that’s what every one does. Good writing nonetheless. + Report this comment

Posted by Egoist 2008-06-09 15:52:12 .... I agree, it did seem a bit rushed. I would have never thought Pukey was infected though. Nice idea to carry him throughout the few chapters and turn him into another danger. I'm thinking the red/white skin or liquid is blood and puss...Is it? Still working on it. + Report this comment
