I thought everything was better

But soon I came to realize

I had caught hold of a false hope

You say my affection is very much so returned

And yet you show no love

I let you slip far away

I can only blame myself

Long ago I envied all couples happiness

But then I had you

And now I am back to the beggining

For though you say you are there

You are very much so gone

I only wish your words were true

If they were I would have a shoulder to lean and cry on

If they were I would not be in this place anyways

Your shoulder was always there

And now it is gone

Your hugs were always there

And now they are gone

Your love was always there

Your overpowering and seemingly endless love

And now it is gone

Nothing have I left

Only the epitome of hurt

yea i thought this was closely related to your other poem as well. but i liked this also. these two poems seem to have so much thought put into them. they seem so true. by the way, loved the title to this one.

They are closely related. I wrote then within five minutes of each other, literally, and for the same purpose and from the same emotion that was extremely strong right then.
