Are you trying

To give me back my heart?

I gave it to you,

It's yours to keep.

If you don't take it back,

I'll lay it at your feet.

I can't stand myself.

If it's not my faul

Whose could it be?

You tell me I'm perfect,

But it won't work.

Oh God, what are You doing?

How can you do this?

Do you know what

It's doing to me?

Do you even care?

How could you?

It's what you're doing.

My heart feels stomped,

I feel betrayed.

I like you so much,

I pray it doesn't end this way.

nice poem indeed. spoke to me in many different ways. i'm sure the person doesn't care that you feel betrayed. they never do. they just rip your heart out and then leave you to yourself so you can watch your body slowly decompose from depression.

I disagree. I'm sure people have felt bad for betrayal.

Your poem is sweet in a sense. Like a little puppy who did something wrong. It feels terrible to have to replace your heart, and you portrayed that emotion perfectly. Very nice poem.
