Take A Look
He sits there with hands folded
She sits across the room, her pride eroded
Their love, not what it used to be
They find themselves stuck in eachothers imagery
Where everything seems to get worse
She thinks, if only he would put me first
But deep inside he knows what he must do
He says, "It must end between me and you."
But she finds it hard to comply
She can't imagine being alone in all of her lies
She needs him to always be there
She can't live without someones care
But he sees through her now
Her "pity me" strategies rot inside out
She tries desperately to make him stay
But his door is already opened to better days
And now she cuts herself everday
Turning to drugs, having to remind herself it will be okay
Selling her body to everyone she sees
All she is now, just a broken down sleez
