Chapter 7

One More Floor

We decided to go one floor higher; there were 2 more floors above us so hopefully nothing was on the floor we would soon be on. The lights were on but the elevator wasn't working so we took the stairs. More growling, gunshots and screams it seemed like there was a war going on upstairs. We got to the next floor and searched around, there was something here and something quick, all we could see was a black shadowy blur running through each wing of the hospital. I felt it run past me at least twice, its long silver hairs running right past my eyes I raised my gun and luckily shot it in the back, fast but luckily not to smart we went to examine it when it jumped up latched itself onto me and tried to bite me. Suddenly it's silver hairs blurred out of vision and screams came from behind me Herbert was knocked down but it was one of our patients getting eaten. The thing tried to swallow the lady whole, she got stuck in it's small throat and couldn't finish, Sergei pointed the gun at it's head and shot 3 bullets at it's head.

I felt it run past me at least twice, its long silver hairs running right past my eyes I had to close one as I felt the hair scrape my eye. I raised my gun and luckily shot it in the back, fast but luckily not too smart we went to examine it but that's when it jumped up, latched itself onto me and tried to bite me. Suddenly its silver hairs blurred out of vision and screams came from behind me Herbert was knocked down but it was one of our patients getting eaten. The thing tried to swallow the lady whole she got stuck in its small throat and couldn't finish; Sergei pointed the gun at its head and yelled "Die you bastard HAHAHA" and shot 3 bullets at its head. Blood splattered everywhere as the monster let out a loud shriek and bit the woman in half. "That was way to close for my liking" said Sergei "the woman's dead, bit her in half poor thing, oh well people are bound to die from these things"

I looked at him in disgust I suddenly saw how killing that scientist was easy for him, I think he may be hiding a lot more then he lets on. He seemed to know what he was doing at first, and I believed that he wanted to save us but there might be a little insanity behind that plan. "Why did this have to happen now" I said as I began to examine the body. The monster had a name tag apparently his name was Gary Thins "These things are mutated humans this one's name is Gary" I said to the group "Gary......we'll miss you at the church" said Herbert sickly, "You God forsaken devil Sergei!! May God condemn you to death early" Herbert's voice began to rise just then at the sound of Herbert's voice a more human like monster came towards our group and told us "come over here survivors before they realize who you are" he started to walk away when I yelled "HEY who are "they"" he looked at me and waved for us to come, we followed, he didn't look infected at all.

hmmm
I like the story so far, fast paced and suspenseful. Perhaps instead of having a bunch of different short chapters just put them all in one, dunno I am no expert. Perhaps a bit more filler in each of the chapters.

I sort of like the separated effect. I mean, usually people don't comment on long stories.

And so the action commences. I really enjoyed this section with how realistic everything was described. The only thing I would ask for more would be imagery. I don't believe there is enough, because I have to keep imagining little sections in between.

Ending with another cliffhanger? Onto the next.
