Chapter 1: The Coming

(Based on True Story)

   The sun shone, a new day for Mandy. She opened here eyes as the rays of sun touches her soft face. She quickly grabbed her teddy bear and walked out of her room. "Good Morning sweetie!" Her mom said to her as she carefully walk down the stair steps. "Hurry up, it's tme to eat breakfast. Your dad and your sister will be here in a minute." Her mom uttered. Mandy's dad, George Freano, is a Filipino immigrant while her mom, Jenna, is a local from New Jersey. They now settle in Pheonix,Arizona where it's now summer time. Mandy, 4 years old, mostly stays at home with here mom. Her dad works as a Computer Engineer while her sister Leah goes to school. Now school has ended Mandy would have more time with Leah.

   "Mom, when are my cousins coming? I want to see them." Mandy asked. "They will come tomorrow evening sweetie."

The Freano family will have a reunion, George's siblings will come along with their children. Mandy is very excited about this event, she will have more playmates at home for about a week. George finally went down along with Leah who just woke up. "Good Morning Ate!" Mandy greets her sister. Ate is a Filipino word for big sister. "Good Morning too, Mandy." the 10 year old Leah replied.

"Ok girls, come on now, lets eat our breakfast." George said to his kids, as both Leah and Mandy quickly sits on their chair. "Yummy! Bacon!" Mandy shouted as she grabed one and put it in her mouth. "Take it easy Mandy." saids Leah.

"George, I heard Jon's son already arrived from the Philippines. Is he coming tomorrow?" Jenna asked to her husband. "I don't know, most probably he will."

"Oh cool! We will finally meet him? Our eldest cousin?! Kuya, uhm.....uhm....What's he's name again?" Mandy asked her sister so excited. "Kuya Jonas..." Leah replied.

The two girls are very happy of what they heard, but George isnt that happy about that. "What's wrong George?" Jenna asked. "Jonas, he caused many problems to his mom when he was in the Philippines, so i dont know if we should be happy with him coming tomorrow." The two girls looked at each other, disappointed, yet the excitment are still present in their eyes.
