The lead tip hangs off its wood mother, bound together by a splinter, an ambilical cord. The lifesaver keeps the tip hanging.
Millions of potential words rely, on this lead tip's survival. It won't live past a minute without the care and support of it's mother.
Slipping, the lead tip struggles to keep on, the ambilical cord becoming weaker and weaker second after anxious second.
The tip falls to its death, denying resuscitation to the ideas and words. But alas! A new tip emerges, allowing the stories and pictures to breathe air for the first time. Copyright 2008 Nate Stanford |
