Standing on the shore Wet sand beneath my feet I can feel the waves wash them Tears flowing through my cheeks
I love the sea. Standing on a cliff, I watched the waves hit the rocks I smell that damp air. It presses towards my cheeks
At this moment I think of you Of how well you disappoint me I thought you were to ask, "Will you marry me?" I was stupid enough to dream about fairytales You as my prince, and I as your princess Like how sleeping beauty and little mermaid Lived happily ever after
I don't care if they call me crazy or what All I can say is that I love your sweet lies Though I've been living in your letters, I have survived.
I watched the seagulls fly, I wonder how it feels to be free Feeling the wind beneath my wings You were once here beside me.
Watching the sun hide beneath To the shades of purple and orange I stand here on the cliff Thinking of you intensively Like the sunset I say my goodbyes Tears flowed down again And now, I need something to remind me from time to time Never did once could I call you mine. Copyright 2008 Laurice |
