The Timeless Beauty of Christmas
Children see the moment, the now, The sparkling snow, never the plow.
Loving the chill as well as the thaw.
Their minutes filled with wonder and awe,
Expressed through the sparkle dancing in their eyes,
Fullness of joy, laughter, and surprise.
Living the love we all long to share…
Breathing the excitement filling the air… Knowing true beauty beyond compare…
We look back over long tiring years, Filled with patience, joy, and tears,
To a lowly stable that illustrious night.
We try to imagine the wondrous sight. Pure innocence and a moment of peace.
Messiah born to offer release. We see the birth of Christ, the Child…
Precious infant so perfect and mild…
This is the scene we pondered, then smiled…
God was looking forward at that significant time,
Past all selfishness, sin, and crime, To His sacrifice on the painful cross, To the tremendous needs of all the lost.
Our future’s secure ‘cause His gift of grace.
He draws us close so we seek His face. We see a mere glimpse of all God planned…
Infinitely better than we’ll ever understand…
Finally revealed when we rest in God’s hand…
All time is tied with a bow of red Flowing as His blood so lovingly shed.
Can all of these be intertwined?
Live the moment with all your heart, soul, and mind. Embrace childlike faith, which God always adored.
Rejoice in the life of Jesus, our Lord.
Reflect. Remember again and again… Love the Lord, your God, and fellow man…
Look forward with hope to God’s future plan…
