“Aidan there is an epidemic!” Carson yells while bashing on the wooden door.
With a click the lock mechanism is released. Carson falls in puffing shortly followed by Sarah. The two pick each other off the floor. A tall man with thick glasses stood before them. He was rather hansom except for the receding hair line (picture Mr burns hair from the Simpson’s).
“I knew that this day will come…that’s why I prepared for it.” He said with a lisp. “If you follow me.”
Aidan led the exhausted two down the hall and into a room. He approached a bench full of flasks and beakers with liquid bubbling inside them. It was an uncomfortably warm room.
“What do you mean you knew that this day will come? Who could possibly know that foam balls would go on a rampage!?” Carson threw his hands up in the air. “Foam balls for Christ sake!”
“Settle Carson.” Sarah hushed.
“Because foam balls don’t break down…the government has had them dumped into acid tanks. But instead of disintegrating them they became mutant.” Aidan started. “They began to feed on the workers. Myself being in the military intelligence found out about it. I was one of the scientists that looked for a cure. We failed and the foam balls seemed too elusive. We couldn’t keep hold of them; they destroyed the lab and dispersed through the vents. Every one was devoured except for me. I was lucky to escape.”
“Well have you found a cure?” Sarah asked quickly. “Can we stop them?”
“I have found a cure…the human tear. But we have been unsuccessful in replicating the exact DNA of the tear. Until now that is. I have been able to duplicate the exact DNA strand.”
“Is there enough to stop the hordes of foam balls?” Carson asked more relaxed this time.
“I’m afraid not. I don’t have the materials to make enough…but…if we can get back to my old lab I will be able to.”
With that the trio began to pack. The formula was put onto a disk and the small beaker human tears were carefully poured into a spray bottle. Aidan turned off all the Bunsen burners and left the room, Carson and Sarah followed closely behind. The streets were littered with clothes. Large amounts of people have fallen victim to the tiny predators. The trio had to get to lab fast before its too late. With the sight of so many discarded clothing they quickened there pace. Lets hope they aren’t too late.

The labs doors swung open and shut in the wind. It wasn’t a good sign considering that because the foam balls are light in weight they travel by the wind. Aidan rummaged through the glass cupboards. He picked out the flasks he needed for the experiment. Carson set up the Bunsen burners and beakers while Sarah linked them up with glass straws. Tediously Aidan began to poor the contents of the flasks into the hot beakers. Adding each substance to the right amount needed.
“This procedure should take about half an hour to complete. But to get the amount needed it could take approximately half a day.” Aidan explained.
“We don’t have that long!” Sarah yelled. “It might be too late then!”
“I can’t rush science missy…I’m scared too.”
“No one calls me missy!” Sarah flung herself at Aidan only to be held back by Carson. After struggling for a while she began to settle. Carson eventually lets her go and she straighten herself up. “I’m going to have look around.”
“I think it’s best if we stay together.” Carson calls after her.
Sarah mutters under her breath as she walks out of the room. “Missy who does he think he is…if I got a hod of him.” She stalked into the next room. Her eye brows were knitted together, one of her hands was in a fist and slammed into the other. She looked around the room curiously, broken glass covered the floor. She picked up a flask of green liquid and swirled it about. A small breeze came in through a window and tossed her red hair about; she thought nothing of it, which was a grave mistake. Little white orbs flew into the room unnoticed and began to make their way to Sarah
