It had been an odd night to say the least. Things with Kari blew up in my face and I spent the night in the same bed as an old flame. It was weird, I figured I’d never see her again ... and deep down inside really hoped I never would. I knew it could probably seem different as I didn't put up much resistance or none at all to her coming over and was actually the one to invite her into my room ... but I was weak, almost everyone that knew me well enough ... knew I was weak, mostly when it came to girls ... especially this one.

The morning came and with it came a little panic. I had a couple hours until work, but all the fuzzy dreams went out the window like a crazed midget. Laying next to me sound asleep was Jamie and in a few hours I’d be face to face with the girl I thought I had wronged, but it seemed the total opposite after last night. I was sick and tired of uncomfortable days at work, all I wanted was for it to go back to like before ... but I had to confront her on whatever was going on. Then there was the fact of how it felt good to have someone to wake up to, even if it was a girl that was off an on like a light switch.

I sat up in bed and tried to shake the thoughts from my head. I carefully slid Jamie to the side and got out of bed. I stood there looking at her sleeping, god damn it.... she was so cute, but trying to rekindle something with her was like drinking the "special" cool-aid ... SUICIDE. I turned around and stepped out into the hall ... my back was all ****** up, felt like I slept on my head or something ... but I had bigger problems. I heard Christian thrashing **** around in the kitchen, it was crazy for him to be up this early ... usually he waited until he was supposed to be at work before he got up ... I rounded the corner and stepped into kitchen; where I saw Christian actually beating on the toaster.

"What the hell did he do to you?" I asked jokingly and sat down.

"Ate my ******* toast before I could..." he said and we laughed. He thrashed a few more times before just unplugging it and swearing a lot.

"Shit's going to be crazy at work today ..." I half-mumbled and Christian stopped and looked over at me.

"Why? What happened this time." he asked with a chuckle.

"I tried calling Kari last night and some guy answered, he sounded like 40 ... **** was crazy" I replied and shrugged my shoulders. I had no clue what I was going to do, not a good sign to get the "other man" answering the phone ... even worse when it's taken me all this time to get her and it only take this amount of time for her to find someone else... dammmnn.

"Oh ****, that's not good ... I’d dump the *****" was Christian's severely delayed reaction. I almost busted out laughing; I had been sitting there like a good 3 minutes and out of the friggin blue he came with that. All I could do is shake my head and get up and leave. I wandered back towards my room, laughing to myself.

I opened the door and Jamie was still all sprawled out sleeping. So, I took my cue and grabbed the NERF football that lay on my desk and gave it a light lob and WHAP, it cracked her right in the head. She flailed her arms and made a weird groaning sound as I laughed and pointed. I line of obscenities came soon after. I kept laughing as she gave a weak attempt at standing and throwing a punch. It didn't go well, well it really didn't happen. She got up, made another gurgle sound and sat down. I stepped over to her and sat near her.

"You okay, that was a doozie." I said, again laughing.... hey, at least I was in a good mood this morning. That was more then I could say for the past few months, if it wasn't one thing it was another ... but **** it, that's life.

We sat there lounging around watching TV for a little bit, it seemed like she didn't want to leave and I could this getting into a bad spot. I mentioned I had to go to work, which hopefully would work, well it wasn't an excuse ... so it better. "I’m going down to take a shower, I’ll be back in like 20 ... you going to be okay?" I asked her as I stood up and rummaged through my dresser for something to wear, preferably something that wouldn't show blood stains ... the thought made me laugh. She nodded and began to flip through the channels like normal; I took this as my cue to get going. I trotted down the steps and into the bathroom, which was thankfully unoccupied. I got in there and was trying to hurry as much as I could, I through the clothes on the sink and grabbed a towel from in the cupboard. I turned on the water and jumped in without testing it, I let out a small screech and heard Christian laugh from out in the living room, which made me laugh a little. After a few minutes the water warmed up and I proceeded to take my shower.

After my quick shower, I dried off and dressed, I stepped out of the bathroom and looked at the clock; I had an hour to get to work, so I should probably get going since I would probably have to drop Jamie off somewhere. I stepped into my room and Jamie was making the bed. "There you go, you're getting it" I clowned and she flipped me off. "So, where you want me to drop you off?" I asked her as she finished up the bed.

"You can drop me off at Cote's, if that's alright ... I don't want to make you late." she responded and smiled.

"Nah, don't worry about it I got plenty of time." I lied. "Well get you **** ready and meet me at the door in 5, okay?" I added and grabbed my keys and watch of the dresser and headed back out towards the living room. I walked past it and into the kitchen, I grabbed my morning soda and cracked it open and took a sip... I stepped back into the living room and figured I’d warn Christian.

"Yo, Jamie is here ..." I sad and cringed

"Whaaat?" he said and laughed, "Nah I’m kidding I knew that .... I heard her in there last night." he responded and shrugged ... "not my business, I just wouldn't get too attached but I think you know that by now." he added and I nodded. It was good that we had an understanding and I knew I wasn't getting attached; well at least I could get much more attached because she was leaving tomorrow or the next day.

"Well, man I got to be getting to work ... I’ll probably pop over for some lunch or if I quit I might come get something to drink." I said and laughed, "Aright man" he responded and I headed out the front door and waited on the front steps. I heard Jamie a moment later come down the steps and Christian aimed her for the door. I smiled for no reason in particular, today was going to be a shitty day ... but **** it, and I’d rather have a shitty day then a good one ... the shitty ones were always more fun. As this thought crossed my mind, Jamie came out the door and gave me a small kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks for letting me stay here the night, I had fun .... I missed this" she said and then headed towards my car that was parked right out front.

I took a minute to shake that off or at least lock it away somewhere for the time being. I took a deep breath and headed for the car as well. I unlocked it and we got in. I looked over and smiled and then we were off, she was going to her cousin's friends and I was going to battle the beast ... such a great day.

The drive to her cousin's friend's house was surprisingly silent. I was thinking a little about the kiss, but mostly about what I was going to say to Kari, kind of going over my battle strategy. I figured the best thing was to listen to what she had to say and judge accordingly but I knew that it probably wasn't going to happen that way, I had a lovely habit of acting before I thought and naturally screwing things up. I had periodically looked over to see what was occupying Jamie but found it was either deep thought or lack of brain activity ... she spent most of the 20 minutes drive just staring out the window or slightly nodding her head to the beat. I figured it was for the best, since I doubt that stuff on the porch meant anything and if it did, I wasn't down fro that.

"So, when is that wedding?" Jamie asked, breaking the silence of the car.

"It's in like 4 or 5 days. I'm not exactly sure, why?" I asked, already having a good idea at what she was going after.

"Oh cool, so will you be anywhere near Williamstown?" she asked, making it a little more clear what she was wondering.

"Yeah, I was thinking of asking Kristen to be my date, so I’ll probably be in Williamstown quite a bit." I replied, as we took the last turn onto her road. "I’m staying for a week, figure I’ll go to the wedding but stay long enough to party a little and visit some family." I added.

"Oh that's cool; you should stop up if you get the time. I still live on garden street ... would be nice to hang out again" she said with a smile and pointed towards the driveway; I slowed down and pulled into the paved driveway.

"Yeah, sounds good ... if I can't I’ll give you a call and maybe we can meet up somewhere." I wasn't sure what to say exactly but words seemed to be flowing out pretty well.

"Okay sounds awesome, thanks for everything ... I had fun." she said and with a little wave she stepped out of my car and headed towards the front porch.

I took a few moments, seconds or minutes ... wasn't sure, before starting my car again and backing out. One problem down about another 34,000 to go. I figured the best thing would be to shove this away for right now and deal with my big problem, which was Kari. I looked down at my watch and saw that it was getting close to work time. Grreeaaat, that's all I wanted. In the little time I had had to think, id solved my problem. I was just going to tell her we should take a break or briefly break up, whatever she's like to label it as. I wasn't down for any of this calling her phone and a guy answering type **** ... that wasn't me, I was irrational and didn't handle things well. Plus I didn't respond well to revenge, at all. My brain was on overload and it wasn't even 9 o'clock, this wasn't starting out to be the calm or cool day I had hoped for since the other night. But whatever, I’d deal with it when I got to work... the next 25 minutes I’d leave my mind thought free, just like it was intended to be.

I had arrived in the parking lot about 10 minutes ago, but instead of rushing right into my awaiting doom ... I sat on my hood and smoked a cigarette. They tasted like burnt ass, but it helped ... some how someway. As I took the last drag, I looked around and saw a few people I knew ... no one I’d consider a friend but they had tits and I was a guy, so ya know. I flicked the cigarette to the ground and took a deep breath to get ready for the lovely day at work. I walked across the parking lot and into the back area and stepped into the store. At least today she had all the lights on and the door open, it felt a little less like a friggin cave today. I put my pack of cigarettes on the counter by the register and took off my long sleeve shirt, you figured I’d be accustomed to the weather by now ... but every ******* day I put on a long sleeve shirt ... knowing deep down that it'll be 140 by noon.

I looked around and didn't see the dumb ass, so she must be taking a piss or just didn't show up. I would have loved to see the latter. I could sue a day off from this ****, maybe one of the cute girls that usually work weekend could feel in. I shut this part of my brain off before it took control. If not, I’d be a mess by 10. It only took a few more minutes of me spinning around in the chair like a 10 year old handicap kid before she came yammering in through the main entrance.

"Well, nice of you to join us .... Just the girl I’d looovveee to talk to" I said in all sorts of odd tones. ****, this day was going to go bad either way.... might as well have fun and be obnoxious in the process.

Apparently this wasn't the type of Justin she wanted to see today, I guess I should've broken out the rarely seen but oh-so fears "serious Justin'. Unfortunately I had packed him away along with all the memories and junk from Vermont. He’s only been out a few times in the last year or so, but if she wanted him ... ohhhh she was going to get him.

"So, how was your night? Mine was fricken GREAT." I said in a half joking, half sarcastic tone. Again, I'm not winning over any of the Kari fans. I just sat there and looked at her, all I got was a dirty look, and this ***** wasn't even going to explain herself.

"Well, you leave me no choice ... who the **** was that who picked your phone up, Mr. Magoo?" I asked, still unable to drop the joking completely out of my questions.

"You won't believe me, so why should I bother?" she asked. All I could do was shake my head, I also laughed a little ... I’d used that line before ... it doesn't work ... because yes, they wont believe it ... because it isn't bucking trruee.

"Let’s pretend I’ll believe you ... shoot, I want to hear this." I said, this was snowballing ... and I think it was 110% my fault ... but **** it, I was in one of those moods ... I didn't care.

"He was my brother's friend. He stopped in to say hey and since my brother was gone, he stayed for a little bit and we hung out. She rambled on, I nodded y head every few words.

"So, why would he pick up your phone and say you were busy?" I asked, getting back to the part that pissed me off.

"I don't know, he said it would be funny ..." she started to say.

"...was it? Are you having a good laugh over it now?" I asked cutting her off. "Because I’m having a HELL OF A GOOD TIME OVER HERE, dude!" I added in a sort of yelling laugh... if that's even possible.

"See ... I knew you'd be like this. Whatever, just be pissed at me or dump me ... I'm not dealing with this anymore." she said in a defeated tone and then headed into the storage area.

I was sort of stunned; I sat there a few minutes staring at the spot Kari had been previously standing. I wasn't sure, but she might of won that round ... not sure, but I doubt you could consider that a 'Justin victory'. I sat there for a few more second before out first customer came in, some douche bag with a doo-rag and baggy pants.... i wanted to slap the dumb out of him, but i wasn't that ambituos today. Instead I watch gomer pick through about 25 different rams jerseys ... so not only was he a nigger wannabee, he had horrible taste in football teams. But whatever, he was keeping my job alive so more power to him. I rang hi m up, trying not to giggle out loud and then eh was off ... to keep it real with all his homies.

The rest of the work day was just a ******* stroll through the park, I mean I could think of nothing better then to lose at my own game and then have your co-worker act like she has gone retarded. She rang in a whopping total of 1 person during our 8 hours of work, the rest of the time she hung out with Sara over at the WOK. It was kind of frustration but luckily it wouldn't take much more then an ape to run the sports zone. The hardest thing to do is when someone comes in saying **** like "dude, who is that player, who like ... throws the ball and ****?" and then we have to go through the 100 plus players that DO THAT!! But other then that I managed to read three magazines and wander over at some point and have lunch with Christian. If Kari wasn't hot or my girlfriend type-thingy, I would so have her fired. Plus this job was easy, but the pay sucked ... I could go out on the freeway and wash windows with a muddy squeegee and make more then I did here. I figured I’d work here another few months and make it a year and then see if there were any openings over in Technicolor. I was hoping Tom could find me a place that would at least pay me enough to upgrade my vehicle. But until then, I was stuck in this **** hole ... only good thing about it was that I "bought" like 4 jerseys for a reasonable price or I stole them, I can't remember.

"You are free to go now sir." I was shook from my thoughts by a sexy southern accent. I looked over to see Margaret.

"Thank you ma'am, where's Dana today?" I asked gathering up my things.

"She took the day off, lucky *****." Margaret said laughing; she came over and took my place behind the register. "So, what's with you and the ole' ball-an-chain?" she asked.

"Nothing major, she's a woman." I joked and got a chuckle out of her. "I'm thinking of giving my notice and switching jobs ... this place blows." I stated, not really sure why ... but it felt like the right thing to say.

"Aww, you can't leave us! What will we ever do without you?" she joked. "Well, make sure to tell Debra ... or your ass won't be getting another job." she added, pointing and laughing.

"Yeah, that's a crazy ***** if I’ve ever seen one. But oh well, you can always come over whenever you want ...." I said winking at her as I stepped out the backdoor and headed for my car.

It had started to sprinkle while I was talking to Margaret, but I was hoping that's all it would do. But it didn't look like that was the case, the clouds above me looked like there was going to be a friggin hurricane ... which I wouldn't mind. Always nice to have some sort of disaster that I wasn't the cause of. I got in my car and started it; I waited for a few minutes before putting on my windshield wipers as the rain began to pick up. I cured out loud to myself as I sped out of the parking lot.

By the time I got to the street I lived on, it was raining pretty hard. Nothing to worry about in Vermont, but in California this amount of rain turned the city streets into small lakes. I pulled out in front of my building and stopped the car. I looked over quickly and saw something I didn't usually see at this time of day or this weather either. I saw a girl sitting in the down pour. She was sitting on the steps in a hoodie, with her head down and hood up. I grabbed my long sleeve shirt and threw it on before stepping out into the elements. I shut and locked my door and looked over. Why the hell would someone sit out in the rain, maybe it was one of those crazy people that occasionally used our front steps as a camp ground ... but I doubted she was, unless she was a new hobo recruit. The hoodie she was wearing was actually pretty nice and as she lifted her head to take a drag from her cigarette I saw why she was out here. Her make up was running and it looked like it wasn't just the horrid rain that had made it run. I stepped around the car and headed for the steps. I wasn't all that good with talking to random strangers, but I figured since she was sitting on these steps she was the daughter or the person who moved in the other day.

"You know you might melt out here don't you?" I sort of shouted over the sound of the rain hitting the concrete steps.

She made a weak attempt at laughing as she tried to wipe the tears from her eyes. I took her not throwing something at me or flipping me off as a good sign and sat down on the same step as her. I pulled out my pack of cigarettes and offered her a new cigarettes ... the one hanging from her mouth was a little soggy ... she cautiously extended a shaking hand and grabbed a dry cigarettes, I’m not sure if she thought I was rabid or what ... she acted like I had thee Hannibal mask on.

"Thanks" she half mumbled. As she reached into the front pocket of her hoodie and pulled out a small Bic lighter. She flicked the light a few times before it light to life.

"So, you just move in here?" I asked hoping conversation would go smoothly.

"Nah been here all my life?" she said sarcastically ... there we go I can play this game. I wasn’t good with serious stuff but I could spar in sarcasm with the best of them.

"What you doing out here, when you could be inside in a warm bed?" I asked her and she pulled back the side of her hood and looked at me for a second, must have been giving me the ugly test, which she passed.... behind the soppy wet hair and the smeared make-up she was actaully pretty cute. Dyed blonde hair, blue eyes and what looked like a pierced lip.

"My parents are inside, so I’d rather be cold and wet then in there." she replied, well it looked like I had at least been cute enough for her to waste her breath. I laughed to myself before leaning back on the step.

"Yeah, parents do suck ... hey, I got to go the bathroom ... will you be here when I get back?" I asked, raising my eye brow... "I can bring an umbrella" I said and laughed.

She let out a little laugh and gave me a nod. "Okay, I’ll be right back." I added and then got up and ran into the house.

I was soaking wet, so I didn't bother to dress into anything new. There was no real point. I ran into the bathroom and finished up the business I came inside to attend. I washed my hands quickly and stepped out into the living room, I figured we must've had an umbrella between the two of us, but no such luck ... oh well, I'm sure she'd been in the rain before and from the looks of it she didn't care. Luckily for me she was cute, actually she was real cute. I wasn't shallow but if she wasn't a cow, it helped me. I laughed, but didn't sweat it ... I already knew I was going to hell. The only thing I didn't know was, when? I grabbed a couple of beers from my fridge, she only looked about 17 or 18 ... but from the look on her face, she could probably use a good 10 or 11 of these. I gave one look around for that mysterious umbrella and then shrugged it off. I stepped outside into the small lobby area and then back out onto the steps. She was still sitting in the same position, but at least she was sitting up a little ... I’d hate to see a young person's back go to ****. I laughed again, this time out loud ... the girl turned around and laughed.

"Where's that umbrella you talked about?" she asked jokingly.

"Well, I guess we don't have one ... but at least it sounded good. I brought this for you instead." I replied and extended my hand with one of the beers in it. She took a quick gaze around the area and grabbed it from my hands.

"Thanks, you're a life saver." she said and smiled. She cracked open the beer and took a swig. The same look that comes across my face when I take the first sip, flashed across hers and before I could, she introduced herself. "Oh, by the way ... my name is Rebecca."

"Cute name, mines Justin." I answered and took a sip off my beer.

We sat for the next few minutes in silence, just drinking our beers. She was done hers way before me. This surprised me. She looked about 110 pounds ... but hand downed the beer in about 3 minutes. I was hoping deep down inside, she wasn't an alcoholic and I had just opened the flood gates once again. I doubted it though, that **** only happened in the movies.

"You want another one of those, big guy?" I said in a weird accent. She giggled a little bit and then nodded yes. I figured it would be better to just invite her into my apartment, that way we'd be closer to the fridge and dry ... but I didn't want to seem like some awkward serial killer ... so my lazy ass got back up and headed for the door.

I gulped down the last few inches of my beer before throwing it into the bottle "bin" and then opening the fridge. I hadn't eaten for a while and that beer was ******* my stomach up. Oh well, now was not time to be a ***** ... so I grabbed a couple more beers and then turned around and headed into the living room. I probably should've called Kari and figured out what the **** was up or completely end it but I was having a good time and I wasn't one to sacrifice my fun times for my responsibilities. I laughed at myself, which I oh-so often did and headed back out to Rebecca. If she finished this beer as fast as she did the last, I was first going to ask her if she was an alcoholic and secondly if she just wanted to come inside. I probably should've asked her age too, but it was too late now.

I stepped back out next to her and handed her a second one. She accepted it and cracked her second one open. I wasn't sure how often she drank, she was quite small so I figured two more and she'd be out cold. Well, probably not ... but it seemed it. "So, before I get you drunk ... I should probably know, how old are you?" I asked ... hoping she wasn't under 17 or I’d have to run inside. Well, she should be over 18 ... but you know.

"Oh, don't worry. I'm going to be 19 in June. You probably thought I was like 15 or 16, didn't you?" she responded looking over at me. "I get that **** a lot." she added, pulling her hood off and letting the rain completely soak her hair.

"Yeah, I kind thought I might be going to jail ... ha-ha ... if your parents come out here, I'm running for the hills." I joked pointing towards the mountains in the distance.

"****, if they come out here ... I’m running with you." she responded, I liked this girl. It was about time I found a girl out here as funny as me, even thought those types were very rare. I laughed again.

"Your dad isn't huge is he? Because I’m weak like a girl ... so if he's pissed, it's not going over very well." I laughed before I even could finish what I was saying. She laughed a little but nodded no, telling me he was the reason she was small ... and that her mom is just as small. That's good, so I’ll be able to take your family in a fight." I added but she caught me off.

"Well, my brother is 6 foot 5, but luckily he's still in college over in Massachusetts." she said and gave me an evil smirk.

"You sure he's your brother?" I joked, how the hell could two people under 5 foot 6 create a kid over 6 feet? Crazy times. I finished off my second beer and tossed it over the side railing; it bounced off the concrete and landed in a shrub. She watched it land and then matched me, by chugging her beer and tossing it in the same place I did. Damn, that's crazy.... there's no way a girl half my size can out drink me. But I wasn't going to test this, because I didn't feel like having a shitty hangover tomorrow at work. I looked down and my soaked watch and saw that it was closing in on 5 and I was hungry. I looked around the street; there hadn't been a car through this road in the last hour. This place really went bananas with a little rain.

I debated whether or not to get her a third beer when the choice was made for me, I heard the door behind us open and then closed ... followed by foot steps and then a sigh. I know those sounds all too well and what they mean, and so doesn't Rebecca apparently. She muttered goodbye and thanks to me before getting up and moping towards whoever was standing there. I figured it was the mother and with a quick turn of my head, sealed the deal. I was her mom, I gave a half-ass smile and wave and she returned a quarter-ass wave and smile. She didn't look happy but at least she didn't look like she was going to bust ass. I sat there for a few minutes before getting up and walking back to my house. I figured I should probably call Kari and get this **** all cleared up. If I didn't do it now, I’d probably just get drunk and pass out on the couch.

I peeled off my two shirts and threw them on the couch before grabbing the phone and dialing her number. I wasn't sure what I was going to say, but figured I’d treat this phone conversation like everything else I did ... just wing it. She finally picked up after like the sixth ring.

"Yeah?" she said rudely or at least sounding rude. This was a GREAT way to start the talk out.

"Ha-ha ... riiight. So, what are you doing?" I asked, biting my lip and fighting off the urge to make fun of her for an unnecessarily amount of time.

"Nothing, sitting here listening to music and talking to Sara, what about you?" she asked, her tone going from stupid ***** ... to crazy *****.

I laughed before even answering, which wasn't going to help my chances. But you should know by now, that I loved to screw things up. "Was just sitting out in the rain for the last hour, so do you want to come over and talk ... or do it right here on the phone?" I asked ... hoping she'd say over here, which would give me time to get into some dry clothes.

"I can come over; do you really want me to? Wouldn't it be easier just to dump me over the phone...? Instead of having me over and having to see me face to face?" she asked. Damn, this girl studied her cards. She hadn't destroyed my plan but the chick wasn't making it any easier.

"No, want you to come over. Get you ass over here at 6:30." I said and laughed. “Okay?" I added and she agreed. We hung up the phone and I headed up to my room.

I had just finished up my shower and getting dressed as I heard a knock at the door. I sprayed a little cologne on and then headed out of my room and towards the door. At least she could tell time, I thought looking at my watch to see it was almost exactly 6:30. I did a quick breath check and then opened the door. She looked amazing, as usual ... wearing her normal outfit, a tight shirt with tight hip-hugger jeans and her hair pulled back in a tight pony tail. I motioned for her to come in and shut the door behind her as she stepped inside and set her purse down in the stand that sat in the hallway. I guess through all the turmoil these past few days, I had forgot why I wasted almost a whole year trying to get this girl.... she was beautiful and smelled godly. I stood there just visually taking her in before she noticed and gave me a cute little smirk and flipping me off. At least her she brought her sense of humor, tonight might go horrible if she hadn't of.

"Well, you're looking breath taking tonight." I said bringing out my sweet side and tucking away my joker side ... it worked, it scored with a little blush from her.

"I wanted to look good, just incase you were thinking of dumping me ... it's harder when I look all sexy and stuff." She said in a soft voice. Well, it seemed like she liked me or at least wanted to be with me ... she sounded genuinely nervous that this was the end. Which made me internally kick myself, why did that thought even cross my mind? I had spent a year baiting and finally catching her and then after only a few months of dating ... I was going to just throw her back over an ex that would go no where and one lame ass phone call. It was stupid to even get riled up over, I had been caught innocently in even worse situations and thankfully she was still talking to me and so didn't the others that caught me in these. I was dumb, but come on ... not THAT dumb.

"... Don't worry, this isn't about me dumping you ... I just wanted to get a chance to talk in private and get all this craziness sorted out." I replied, trying to reassure that we weren't over. It worked she seemed relieved and I could see it took some of the weight off her shoulders. "Do you want a beer or I can make you a drink?" I added, getting thirsty myself.

"What kind of drink?" she asked and got up to follow me into the kitchen.

"We got vodka, tequila, Boone's farm and some corona's ... which do you want?" I asked trying to decide what I wanted and grabbed out a bottle of the orange Boone's farm.

"You got any orange juice? She asked ... making a wise decision ... the screw driver was always a classic.

"How drunk do you want to get? If you don't mind getting hammered we can make some of this Super Orange Hurricane ... or if you'd rather be able to walk on your own ... I can just make you the regular." I said and she laughed a little ... I looked over her tan facial features and she thought about her decision.

"I'll take a regular one first; we'll see how the night goes .... maybe we can get smashed." she retorted and I laughed at her ... she was a "one-beer-queer", so by "getting smashed" she meant having the drink I was making for hr and then a sip off mine.

I shook that thought off and made her the drink ... I handed it over and she began to drink. "Tell me if that's too strong, it shouldn't be thought .... Well, cough medicine might be too much alcohol for you." I joked, I couldn't resist.

"Oh shut up! .... This is good and I’m not that much of a wuss ha-ha" She turned a little red in the face ... it wasn't that hard to 'zing" her, the great thing about her was that she was easily embarrassed and I LOVED embarrassing people.

I poured a glass of the Boone's and then we headed back into the living room. I sat on the couch and she sat next to me and set her cup down on the coffee table. She hadn't drank too much, but I knew about half of that cup and she'd be giggling like she hadn't slept in days. I took another big gulp from my drink before setting it down; this was mixing with the small amount of alcohol already in my system and the lack off food. I wasn't a light weight, but I did turn into a little bit of a girl on an empty stomach. But I had bigger fish to dry ... mmm... fish, damn it!

"So, how do you want to start this?" She asked in between sips. I better hurry this up, so I can discuss this with a sober and rational woman.

"I just wanted to let you know that the Jamie thing is not an issue. She’s an ex but that's it. I’m not going to lie.... it felt good to see her and hang out, but she did some things that are unforgivable and plus ... it took me way to long to get you, to do the same **** I’ve done time in and time out in the past ... you have my promise there's nothing to worry, plus she left and went home today" The words spewed out of my mouth and I watched to see her take it all on, she was apparently thinking it over, well at least I hoped. 'So, is there anything at all going on with you and you brother's friend or did anything go on last night?" I added, the whole "talk" would last all of 5 minutes if things went to plan.

"No, I don't even think he’s cute or nothing. Plus, that would make things weird ... I would never date a friend of my brother’s.... and I love you, I honestly do." she answered calmly and then took a 4th and 5th sip from her drink. I loved how the love part came dead last ... grreeaaat ... 6th, 7th and 8th.... well, those weren't even sips anymore ... I’m guessing she's been having a rough few days and was unable to drink at her parents ... well, at least she was with me and not "the brother's friend" ... there was at least some good news.

"Aww, you love me ... how cute!" I joked and she almost spit vodka and O.J. all over me. No lie, I would've kicked her in the forehead ... I laughed at that thought, but I wasn't joking.

"Well, that didn't take long ... so what do you want to do now?" I asked, surprised that it only took like 15 minutes in all. It was quick, but I was fulfilled with the answer I got. I wasn't going to draw it out like a friggin year.

"I don't know. Drink." was all that she said. That’s never good, I was borderline alcoholic and still could think of about 10 thing else to do.

"Are you okay? You usually don't drink all that much ..." I said. I was a little worried ... it wouldn't be good if we were both drinkers, and then there was no one to be the sober one to bring the other one to rehab. Not a good sign.

"Yeah ... I haven’t been drunk in a long time and I figure we could get drunk together." she responded and although that didn't really answer my question how I wanted, I had finished my rather large glass of Boone’s and was a little buzzed ... and when I got buzzed, jumping off the roof would've sounded like a good idea.

I stood up and wandered towards the bathroom, I had to piss like a race horse. "Be right back." was all I mustered and I got the nod. I took my piss and washed my hand and then hobbled out of the bathroom rambling on like an old lady. Which left the somewhat drink Kari into stitches. I laughed a little myself but before I could continue the funny little act, the phone rang. Riiigghht, who the hell would be calling at -- I looked down at my watch, oh it wasn't even 9 ... guess it could be anyone. I walked over to the phone; looking at the caller I.D. I still didn't have a clue. I shrugged it off and picked the phone up.

"Hello?" I answered

"Heyy, is this ... uh ... um... Justin?" I could hear a feminine voice slur over the phone. Whoever this was, she was in BAD shape.

"What?" I said kind of laughing; I had no idea whatsoever who this was. "Who in the blue hell is this?" I asked, laughing once again.

"Reb--Rebecca." was the only thing I could understand and ever that was slurred horrendously and stuttered.

I didn't know what to ask first, what she wanted? How in the hell she got my number? So I decided to kill two birds one stone. "How'd you get this number and what do you need?"

There was a slight pause; I didn't know if I heard laughing or vomiting ... but either was it didn't sound good. "Phone book ... I need a ride ... I’m so sorry" she said and I suddenly felt bad for any of the people I randomly called while intoxicated.

"Where are you? Just tell me and I’ll be right over." I said, I didn't mind at all but the chance of her coherently giving me the right address was not good and I didn't feel like roaming the California country-side.

"91 prospect Street ... like 5 miles away from you ... I need a ride and can't walk." She managed to ramble out.

"Okay, I’ll be right there ... hold on." I said and then hung up the phone. Kari was looking at me and just started laughing.

"What do you need to do?" she was looking at me kind of weirdly.

"I got to go pick up my neighbor ... she's trashed and needs a ride ... get your shoes on lets go." is said and laughed; I grabbed the keys off the table and got my shoes on. Kari quickly finished of the last drops of her screw driver and ran over to get her stuff on. This was great, I was going to have to deal with two drunken girls ... well, it wasn't a completely bad thing.... well at least the porno side of my brain started to think. I shut it off and we headed out the door towards my car, off to get the drunken blonde neighbor.

It took us a good 35 minutes to find the place we were looking for. Kari's drunken ramblings distracted me a couple times and we ended up in no man's land. Once we found the street it was pretty easy to see where we had to go, it looked like a war zone and the cute upset girl I remember talking to on the front steps was laying on her back laughing and completely going nuts with her friends. Hopefully there wasn't more then just booze in this girl, I wasn't a huge square ... but drugs and I didn't mix, definitely when it came to girls on them. I came to a stop a few feet from the three girls that lay on the lawn. I opened the door and stepped out ... wow, this was crazy ... these chicks were nuts, but I guess this is what you get when you hand minors alcohol. Kari stays in the vehicle, not because she wants to ... but being the super light weight she is, she's out cold ... well, not completely but she's at the brink of talking to herself.

"Hey, can one of you help me get this one in the car?" I asked the other two girls as I pointed towards Rebecca. With a few giggles they nodded and we picked her and lightly set her in the backseat. The two girls that helped were kind of cute, but they smelt like alcohol ... REALLY bad.

"Any of you need a ride as well?" I asked, figuring since I was already here ... id; make an offer, plus I was just that nice of a guy.

"Yeah, I’d like a ride." a petite black girl said. I didn't know if that was sexual or not, so I just told her to hop in. and with a quick giggle between the girls, she got in right besides Rebecca. So now there are 3 drunken girls. Normally I’d be in heaven, but all with a non-bisexual girlfriend and two other girls far too drunk to be performing sex acts ... I had to play dad. Lovely.

We took off towards my house; Kari had come back to conciseness and began to talk with the two girls in the back. After about 10 minutes of drunken slur, she got that the dyed blonde was Rebecca and the small black girl with braids was Kamesha. Being the only "sober" one in the car, was pretty funny ... but I’d rather be drunk ... that way I could at least understand half of the **** being said.

"This is a pretty nice car; my brother has one just like it .... But blue." Kamesha said between hiccups. What was it with brothers today? First Rebecca and now this girl ... although Rebecca was reduced to nothing. She must've drank a shit-load of booze. She wasn't even talking.

"That's cool ... hey; can you make sure she's still alive?" I asked, a little worried. I didn't want an 18 year old girl dying in my backseat ... it makes a kid look bad, plus I just cleaned the car ... I was surprised no one had thrown up so far *knock on wood*.

As we pulled into the front of the apartment, I sighed nice and loud. Not out of frustration but out of relief ... no dead girls, no puke in the car and no more driving for the night. I got out and walked around the car to help Rebecca out. Kamesha got out and came over to help. Luckily she was a small girl; all I had to do was throw her up over my shoulder. Kari and Kamesha used each other as a crutch as we all made out way to my apartment. I wasn't really sure if she wanted to go to her house or mine, but she didn't have a choice. I wasn't bringing her parents their passed out daughter and taking the heat. We stepped into the apartment and I reached over to click on the light, Christian still wasn't home which was good ... that's all I needed ... Christian and two drunk girls, sounded like a disaster. No offense to him ... well, yeah a lot of offense to him.

After plopping Rebecca on the couch and getting the other two girls a couple of sodas I grabbed one for myself and headed for the living room. I was hoping to come back and get trashed and have some crazy drunk, semi-make up sex with Kari ... but Noooooo. I guess this is more fun, damn it!

"Where are we going to sleep?" I heard a mumble and the first signs of life in the last half hour from Rebecca.

"You’re laying on it buckaroo, Kamesha can sleep on the floor or something." I said and she made a weak attempt at a sarcastic laugh. It failed pretty badly,

"Do you have a sleeping bag or something ... I’m too old to be sleeping on the floor and ******* my back up." Kamesha chimed in jokingly and I busted out in laughter. Not sure why, but I found it pretty funny ... I guess you'd have to see the girl to appreciate the joke. I figured she was 17 or 18, but she looked about 14. But she was cute ... so, three hot girls and me ... I guess I could go without the monkey sex.

I looked at my watch and saw it was 11:30. Kari was done for and we both had work in the morning. This should fun, thank god in a few days I’d be getting a "vacation" and going to Vermont ... **** ... I forgot to tell Kari that, well there we go ... another bump in the road. Oh well, I was too tired to think of this.... I needed to sleep.

"Ok, new plan .... Kamesha help Kari to my room, I’ll get Rebecca ... we'll sleep in my room." I said and she nodded and got up rather quickly for her state and helped Kari up ... I grabbed Rebecca and carried her up the steps and towards my room. The two girls followed me and we got to my room.

"Who gets the bed?" Kamesha asked with a mischievous grin.

"Meeeeee and Kaaarrrri" I said laughing and she flipped me off. "Wow, pretty ballsy for a girl your size." I added and she laughed and stuck her tongue out. I went into my closet and grabbed out a few pillows and a couple sleeping bags. There you go, I said as I pointed towards the stuff and she replied with low toned thanks.

We both managed to get or "significant" other into the "bed", just in time. After making sure the girls were all set I stripped down to my t-shirt and boxers and clicked off the light. Nothing else was really said, a few giggles and me chucking the pillow playfully down at the girls, well girl and that was about it.... the 4 of us crashed pretty quickly.
