Awakening of Minds (part one)

So there I was, looking once more at the device...

To Her Whom Cancer Took

It wasn't her that lost faith, 'twas I....

If I Could

Now slowly but surely day by day

I lose your face, it goes away

Whether I want you out of my head or not

The memories I have always seem to rot

Everything is fuzzy, can't quite make it out

Was that really me there with you, or was it doubt

That view up there on the cliff we used to have

Reminiscing back on what makes me sad

And I know you made me laugh

And I know my face, it cracks

Life is not some kind of happy balloon

That floats endlessly into a sky so blue

But you know this all too well

You have the scars to tell

If we could just regenerate

Cleanse and replace our old mistakes

If I could forget to be so stubborn

We could laugh again, like it was nothing

But roads bend and people change

Still sitting here, everything lost nothing left to gain

Growing apart; that's the focus of the poem, right? I may be off.

"Life is not some kind of happy balloon

That floats endlessly into a sky so blue"

But it can be! It's all about attitude (heh).^^
