Acceptance

Yesterday, I was cool
about letting go,
ready to leave.

I decided
it was time
to face the fear.

It wasn't about
giving up hope,
I still hope.

It was all about
acceptance.

Time for me
to stop looking
and start seeing.

Today,
things are different,
but the same.

There is more
fight in me
than yesterday,

even though
I still accept.

It seems
acceptance
gives you

the strength
to fight
another day.

fighting

is a good way to live. Not beer brawls.... neccessarily anyway... but it's better than sitting on one's keester glued to the telly! Better to be a Mohammed Ali or Mother Teresa than a Britney or Anna Nicole Smith.
