My reality awakens

 To a mundane world

 Where zombies aimlessly roam

In a paddock whilst machines

Fulfilling their duty

All the while

Whispering of me

Without passion

Now entombed in an

Existence forcing me

 To live and survive

In the purest form of ugliness

A daily nightmare far worse

 Than a mere awareness

To my nostalgic emptiness

I take it all in

Regardless

I’m left unaware

Of what it all means

See, I am a dreamer

So I’ll never understand

For I’m aware of the world

And the need to be free

Vague as a ghost traveling

The realms existing only in me

I know of no other way

Now that I am lost

On my own accord

To the deeper need

Of having to be me

Depth here, my girl, darn painful work but good. The lines :

Now that I am lost

On my own accord

To the deeper need

Of having to be me

move me deeply.
