Share it:      Sam Dawkins awoke in a house. He was lying on a couch, and a woman was standing over him, smiling. "Good, you're awake." the woman said. "Who are you?" Sam jumped up and backed away. "I'm Louanne, but from now on you'll call me Mom." "Huh?" "Oh, how I've longed for a child. You'll meet your father soon enough." "Get the **** away from me you crazy *****! You're not my mother, you're some washed up ****!" Louanne slapped Sam, and knocked him to the ground. "You are grounded young man," Louanne said. Sam ran into the other room down the hall, while Louanne screamed, "Come back, honey!" Sam lunged himself into the room and locked the door. Louanne pounded on the door. "What do you want from me?" Sam yelled. "I want a child. My child was eaten by those things, but now I have you." Oh ****, Sam thought, I'm ******. Sam looked around, and saw it. The rifle hang on a mantel in the back of the room. Sam grabbed it and readied himself. Then, Louanne burst into the room. "Where is that kid?" she grunted, looking around. Suddenly, Louanne was tapped on the shoulder. She turned and saw Sam, holding the rifle. "Peek-a-Boo, mommy," Sam smiled as Louanne's brains flew onto the walls. Sam ran from the house and down the road. Down the long, winding road, toward...nowhere. A couple minutes later, Sam saw a car. He flagged it down, and a boy and girl, about sixteen, stepped out. "I need help." Sam said. "Are you bitten?" the girl asked. "Nope. Can I hang with you guys? I got nowhere else to go." "Sure, what's your name?" the boy asked. "Sam, what's yours?" "I'm Zack, and this is Mikayla." And that is how the three kids met, and as they met, the world had a little chance of hope. Copyright 2008 Robbie |
