I’ve always loved rain. I would always sit in my room and listen to it. It’s like natures orchestra. I have always thought rain resembled me. Sometimes its peaceful and other times it’s violent. It would wash away my mood and emotions. It would leave me in a blissful emptiness. Almost like nothing was and nothing will be.

Being blind is a great disadvantage but it is also a great advantage. When one sense is lost another is heightened. I can tell between lies and truths. I trained myself to hear what others ignore. If you listen you will see…you will see the world differently. I have never had to use a Seeing Eye dog; I can get around great by myself.

Seeing nothing but black can be depressing. At times I have thought about killing myself. But then I’ll listen to the rain, to nature. Everything will tell you its story if you just listened. It’s sad how we have lost our natural way of life. We have stopped listening…stopped watching.

I listen to the rain and hear what its telling my. No I will not tell what it is saying because that is for you to hear. Rain washes away the past and if you let it it will wash you away. It will take you with it, it will show you that nothing was and nothing will be.

I liked this rachael.Really digged what you saying.I work with the deaf ,and blind and deaf adults.When you first meet a blind and deaf person its nature to feel pity but when you get to know them, they are truly amazing people and funny.I learnt sign language five years ago, best thing i ever did.Great peice and I love the rain too. + Report this comment
