My dear Uisce Beatha

Oh water of life

I honor your presence

With drummers and fife

Only the best

Spelled with an E

Distinct from the swill

With your royalty

You burn with joy

Lead me to far off places

To see the pots of angels

Brewing God's good graces

The spark of your scent

Before cleansing my lips

With a taste of the earth

This world eclipsed

Dreams of treasures and maidens

Adventures and glory

Fortunes abound

In your golden story

Floating in spirits

Sailing to the unknown

With the courage you grant

I may take my throne

I awake from my dreams

With my aches aplenty

The only relief

My beloved whiskey

I usually think more of women and fighting than pirates and knights, but shit, who doesn't like a stiff drink?

Advice and point taken! Does sound bizzare. That part is now edited. Thanks.

Oh I don't know, pirates and knights might come to a drunken mind if one had just seen or read about them.

I like it this way, although I would have liked to read the other version also.

I did feel like the flow was off in paragraphs two and four, but it sets a good scene.
