Parasites

What is the point of it all

These raw feelings I have drawn

From myself, this can't be true

How irritating it is being so confused

And the parasites, they still crawl

Taking away my ability to feel anything at all

Through the blackest skies

I can't rid all the tears from my eyes

These tears, they do not heal

Only soluble remnants of what I have come to fear

And then you ask me why

I'm not the same inside

But I can't even answer the question

Forever hiding in a mind filled with depression

Many of the symptoms (of depression) you described are pretty accurate. This one for example:

"And the parasites, they still crawl

Taking away my ability to feel anything at all"

When deeply submerged in depression, people become indifferent (or nonchalant) towards the world that is outside of their problems.

Also this one:

"And then you ask me why

I'm not the same inside"

Naturally when our attitude towards 'life' changes our personality changes... oh but, telling a person that is suffering of depression that he/she is "not the same anymore" is the ABSOLUTE worse thing to say to them! Hated when my mother would tell me that...

I thought this could of been more intense, because depression IS very intense, so this one needs work on really projecting how disheartening and painful depression can be.

Oh my god. I shouldn't have been so harsh, this might have come from personal experience, making me very insensitive. Agh, I just realized that right now, oi, I'm sorry.

hey, don't worry about it. it's fine. Like I said, I appreciate your comments. You may not like every single poem I have created. Some of them to you may need work. That's acceptable. And I do understand what you're saying about this.
