Am I not a beast, in your awakening eyes? If not, I wish whole-heartedly for the embrace of your warm arms. If you wish to cradle and caress the heart that is extending out from my chest to you, Come a little closer and your desires shall be granted, plain and simply, yet not abruptly. Make your presence known unto me And ensure that my arms are locked in place. Keep me close to your chest So that your beating heart becomes one with my own, your breathing like mine And so that I may experience the simple pleasures of your living body
And elliminate the pains that came before and might come after In both my bosum and yours. For tonight, all is buried
And nothing distant exists between us. Copyright 2008 August Blackwood |
