Here and Back Again |

Stone wheels rolled down make-shift roads.
Man lived in huts, fur patching the abode.
By dark, the males return with their kill.
Not even cooking it, before getting their fill.
For centuries, everyone answered, not asked.
While the answer of creation lie behind his mask.
Then, the clatter of swords, made all the matter,
Flags bore symbols; a bear, a lion, an adder.
By that time, people began to question the fact,
that kept all of life until now, intact.
People were killed; on a count of treason.
Torchured and hanged, all without a good reason.
It wasn't for decades, until we stopped fighting science.
Seemingly, we had a worldly compliance.
Color and belief was the new question.
That only a white man had the power of expression.
They fought back, and there was a war.
Crimes were committed; to settle the score.
Four rubber wheels roll down a paved street.
Riding towards its suffering; its defeat.
If we cannot omit all the various hate,
Our race will be marked with an expiration date.
Even though we've chiseled creation down to the bone.
I fear those wheels will gradually turn to stone.
