The haunting echo of hallway voices
suggest Sunday company as Mr. Hampton
strains a reach for his walker.

Unfamiliar faces pass his door with
no more than a glance: an open invitation
not to bother.

Very moving

Oh, that's so sad, it reminds me of a verse I wrote titled 'Forgotten Eyes' after an experience I encountered. Very heavy message fer such a laconic verse.
