Pollyester Dreams

Select all delete, banished from reality
Stay in me and die with me

Pollyester Dreams

Synthetic...pathetic

A frustrated self, found inside the self
A serendipitous door to understanding
Above it was marked, 'Poetry'

The key of empathy,
Opened the lock of apathy

The heart in wonder
When it wandered through
Thoughts and words ensued
They struggled to keep up

Blocking the path laid trickery
And at his side was mockery
The heart recognized

Synthetic Dreams...

This Poetic facade,
Formed spider webbed cracks
And shattered upon...

These Pollyester dreams

A Humiliated heart
Leaving a trail

With droplets of grief
Doubt soon found out

Synthetic Dreams...

Lunacy then spoke,

'Return to lay down-for my altar of hate
Detests you and your...Pollyester Dreams
Why do you run; tis only a dream?
All who dare dream, I'll seek and destroy!'

'Sleepwalkers and Daydreamers'

'You have been warned!'

The door marked 'Poetry'

An Ethereal facade
Revocable by disillusion
Love's once rhapsodic verse
Soon evenesced with disdain

Prompted by ennui
And repugnance of the mind
Found an escape...

Pollyester Dreams...

A new fabrication
A gossamer facade...

Appropriated for the heart
Which life could not dispirit

Pollyester Dreams...

Although synthetic,
Pathetic no more

Pollyester Dreams...

Disenchanted cobwebs
That adhere to the heart

Synthetic Dreams...

While journeying through
The Cosmic Catacombs
Of a Pollyester Mind

Pollyester Dreams...
