Ave awoke to a lean, smiling man looking over him.
"Ah, Mr. McCoy, you're awake." the smiling man said. Avery responded with a groan.
"What do you want with me, dumb brit?" Avery shot back.
"Stereotypes. What a horribly naughty thing to live by." the man retorted. Another man entered the room, he looked about seven feet tall, with big muscular forearms.
"Mr. Sway, you have a call on Line 2"
"Thank you, Richy." the smiling man called back to Richy as he was leaving. Mr. Sway walked over a desk and picked up the telephone and pressed a button.
"Where am I?" Avery asked.
"Hush up, I'm on the phone." Ave was getting impatient. He looked down at his chest and saw it was bound with bandages. Avery was shirtless, masking tape securing him to a folding chair.
"Why would I care about your safety? As long as I get my money, sniveling piles of **** like you are the least I care about!" Mr. Sway yelled into the phone. "I'd watch what you say, Brendan. You do know that your life goes on if thats what I want, do you? I could kill you the second I get the chance. Yes. No. Oh yes. So, as long as you have the case to me tomorrow, we won't have anymore problems. Alright then. Ta-ta." The case? Avery thought.
This sparked a new idea into Ave's mind; he knew there was something Mr. Sway and Devult wanted. If he could get a hold of it, he could make Devult vulnerable, and BAM. It would be easy as pie. Well, the only tough part was getting to the pie. If he was locked up here, there was no way he could smuggle that suitcase out of here.
"Be a good boy, Mr. McCoy." Mr. Sway chuckled. "I'm going somewhere." Mr. Sway left the room quietly and laughed off with Richy. Avery broke through the masking tape easily, but still bound at the hands and feet. Ave struggled onto his feet, and hopped over to Mr. Sway's desk. Fresh ink was on the paper, and Ave took a look. "The Royal Branch- Tomorrow. Get the money out quickly." "Quickly" was underlines several times. The Royal Branch was one of Devult's biggest rackets; a classy casino in West London. Ave hopped over to a lamp and shimmied with his back against it to slice the tape on his wrists. He quickly undid the tape binding his feet together and hopped out the window onto a platform. Looking down, he saw floors and floors of other buildings.
Ave murmured to himself. " ****."
