Whether or NotIt's not the constant pain,

feeling of isolation,

or anxiety

about my treatment

and whether it's going to work

or not,

that troubles my mind

on a daily basis.

It's my children,

hearing them cry

and feeling their concern

for me

as they wonder

about my treatment

whether it's going to work,

or not.

When there is more than

self,

you become more selfless

and worry takes on

a whole new meaning.

Especially, at times like this.

I'm so glad,

my children care,

I'm so worried

about my children's

care,

whether there is going to be

someone

to look after them

or not.

Whether or Not

It’s not the constant pain,
feeling of isolation,
or anxiety
about my treatment
and whether it’s going to work
or not
that troubles my mind
on a daily basis.

It’s my children,
hearing them cry
and feeling their concern
for me
as they wonder
about my treatment, and
whether it’s going to work
or not.

When there is more than
self,
you become selfless
and worry takes on
a whole new meaning.

Especially at times like this.

I’m so glad
my children care.

I’m so worried
about my children’s
care;
and whether there is going to be
someone
to look after them
or not.

....

This is very moving poetry and out of deep concern a classic poem has come about.
