Decaying Angel
I met an angel along the way She seemed so sick, her wings covered in decay
Her feathers turned black as night She gave me the chills, sent a message of fright
The blue aura that once surrounded her diminished She cried out to me, yelling for forgiveness
She was laid out for the whole world to see I never knew angels could become crippled, like she
I reached out my hand and told her I was here to help But she looked at me and said she was going to hell
A disturbed shade of pale grew over her face As her veins gave way to a new race
Her mouth opened, her tongue hungry for flesh I took out my knife and stabbed her to death
I laid her bleeding body into the sea From that day on Heaven didn't seem so fake to me Copyright 2008 Sorrow Is My Mask |
