It's easier to sit and stare

Than to get started on my dream

Do worker bees rage against their honeycomb walls?

I like to think that it's all fine

Or maybe I'll collapse one day

Do many people avoid finding out bad news?

To hide among the everydays

Means shying from the different route

If God's not there then should we judge ourselves?

I can tell that you can feel it

The endless loop that is real life

Does anything ever mean anything ever?

Maybe I am wasting my time

When all choices make no difference

Everybody takes and gets what they deserve

....

Its kind of personal, not something I expect people to 'get', just about suddenly realising the path your life has taken, that you never expected or wanted and why you might be too timid to change direction.

actually i understand

what confused me, and i actually wrote this in the comment then deleted it was that i seemed to reading about doubting self doubt - if that makes any sense...

if it helps any, i totally understand the message. one of the things that i preach to my kids nonstop is that nothing matters in life... nothing except how you feel about yourself. life rule #1, and there is only one rule is live it and love it - cause if you're not happy, you're wasting precious time.

if you're not happy - change direction. identify the variables, adjust, take two steps to the left or right and don't look back. reinvent yourself and move forward.

,,,

I think every verse has its own little meaning..like the first, its easier for me to sit on this puter then go exerecise.

The 3rd for me seems to be saying that we sometimes are scared to make a change in fear of being ridiculed.

But in my opinion, every choice you make makes some difference. Like Eve and the apple. I wonder if she never took a bite would we all be running round naked...yikes!!!........fantastic poem from your insight....keep the presses rolling

I feel emptiness and despair. I know that I get this way a lot of times. Sometimes it hits me worse than others....

Oh yes choices make differences absolutely, but the thought I was having at the time (I'm not really this bleak, just havin a moody day when I wrote this) is that what real difference is there when we all die in the end, making all choices moot. But thats not at all how I see things, its just what came to me when I wrote this. Thanks for your input

I get it, I sense that you was a bit pi@@de off with the world when you wrote this.

I aggree with this line,Do many people avoid finding out bad news? When my gran was dying, i turned off my phone, i did not want to know just wanted to pretend that life was rosy.Maybe we dont like to admit it but I think most of us feel like this sometimes.Good Man Dirk.

Some powerful meaning in that. This was great. I liked the phrasing of how everything had a question to be asked until the decision in the end.

I agree with thirteen, I think most of us do feel like this at times.

Very cool

Especially this iquiring line -

'Do worker bees rage against their honeycomb walls?'

Aye, the frustration of droning on fer sustenance yet finding that only deprivation is being sated...

Yeah, I can see where honey-coating that sting especially when such provisions redundantly come up lacking would instigate a little rage within the hive.

Cool verse Dirkin.

Very cool in fact.

I like yer Poetic side indeed.
