Avery was shocked that Voss could pull something like that off. There were reports of a "coffee shop massacre" on the news, but they seemed to have no idea Devult could be connected somehow. Ray Breinbache; a law secretary from Frankfurt and a client of Devult's, contacted Ave later that month. He was urgent in his voice, almost crazed. "Avery McCoy?" a desperate voice was on the other line. "Yes. You're speaking to him. Who is this?" "My name is Ray Breinbache, you helped me out of that...erm...situation." "Ah, yes. Ray. It took you so long to respond." "Yes. Mr.Sway captured me." "What!?" Avery couldn't believe this. Voss was clearly mad with power. "Yes. He came to my home and put a big bag over my head. He released me almost a week ago, and told me never to contact you again." "You fool! They could have tapped your wires! They could be listening in on this very conversation!" "I didn't think they could do that!" Ray yelled. Avery quickly hung up the phone. He had to go save Ray. Another visitor however, knocked on McCoy Investigational Services's door just before Ave could go buy a train ticket. It was the woman he had met earlier. Helene. She walked in slowly. "Hello, Mr. McCoy. So nice to see you again." Helene said; she never could have looked more attractive. "Likewise." Avery lied through his teeth. She was a beautiful woman, there wasn't a doubt. But connections with Devult could mean no good. "So, how have you been?" Helene interjected. "Fine. Listen, this is a really bad time. I have to be somewhere soon." "Oh...do you? And where might that be?" "It doesn't matter. Now if you will please-" Avery tried to walk past her, but she stopped him with an outstretched arm. She traced a finger along the folds of his suit, and pushed it off. "Now, why would you leave if we could have so much fun here?" She leaned forward and kissed Avery sofly on the lips.
