Ave read the message a few times before he could fully take it all in. It was a warning. And, it was very threatening. It was from Voss himself, asking Avery to drop the case. The man who had hired Avery had already been pursued and killed, the message said. Devult threatened death to anybody who even thought to kill him, much more to anyone who acted on those intentions. Avery was unafraid. He had never let any client down, and he didn't intend to start anytime soon. So, he decided to carry on the case. The first thing he did was payed a visit to past clients of Devult's Auto Safety; Voss's multi-million dollar insurance company in Berlin. His first visit was to Ray Breinbache, a law secretary who lived in East Frankfurt.

Avery flew to Frankfurt in a week, waiting for things to cool down with Voss. He took a cab out East, right until he hit the outskirts of town. He told the cab driver to wait a minute, and ran to Mr. Breinbache's front door. He knocked on the door frantically, trying to avoid paying the cabbie too much. After a few minutes of persuasion, he was able to get Mr. Breinbache to go out to lunch with him. He seemed skeptical at first, but he eventually eased up on the subject. So, Avery found himself at a sleazy coffee shop on a corner. Ray got coffee, but Avery didn't get anything.

"So, you've been in contact with Voss van Devult recently?" Ave asked him.

"Yes. He was so kind. He appointed me with an agent named...Jonathan Sway, I believe it was."

"Have you ever been in direct contact with Voss?"

"No. I have spoken to him on the phone, however."

"Was he polite?"

"Yes, very. That was the time he suggested I speak to Mr. Sway."

"Well, what happened after you stopped speaking to them?"

"Well, it was quite routine. I paid them monthly fees for my auto insurance, and there wasn't much else. Come to think of it, there was one thing...."

"What?"

"Well, Mr. Devult said if anything really bad happened, Mr. Sway would take money out of his own pocket it they couldn't cover it entirely."

"Thats very decent of them." Avery stood up to go ask the waiter for his bill. He walked slowly to the waiter, but recieved a demotivational glance. Avery pulled the hammer back on his .39 cal Magnum, even though it was still in his pocket. Suddenly, a busboy shoved a pile of plates to the side and pulled an Uzi from under his apron. Ave dove to the side and pulled the gun from his pocket. On the other side of the shop he saw Ray dive under the table. Ave pulled the gun out and aimed for the busboy. He fired wildly and the busboy fell back, crimson spewing from shots in his chest. But his hand remained on the trigger, as dozens of bullets went straight through the ceiling on the busboy's way down. A waiter behind Ave grabbed him, and slammed him against the counted. Ave turned around a punched him in the face, filling him with hot lead before he could hit the ground. With a skilled shot, he took out the manager, who was running at him with a Colt .45 out. Bullets sprang off of the metal legs of chairs as Avery reloaded quickly, to shoot three more waiters in the chest and head. He ran out of the shop with Ray quickly.

"Contact me as soon as possible." Ave yelled to him, throwing him his card. Ray sprinted off as fast as he could, with his arms shielding his head.
