Beautiful America
Keep injecting myself with novacain But it does nothing for the pain
I asked god for his divine sight But he is just a useless vice
The angels of change rule the day The world itself has become such a fray
Peaceful apparitions come and go But yesterday there seamless bodies spun out of control
Nothing is at peace, nothing rests I have gone all this way just to end up dead
America the beautiful lies in decay I am told my generation has made it this way
Always put the blame on someone else It's just the natural human reaction in itself
The sirens become so loud The nuclear weapons have destroyed the clouds
Shoot to kill is what they say I think I'd rather starve myself, let my insides give way
When we die do we get revised? Or do we get built again just to live another life filled with lies The function of us humans still remains a disguise
We can't help ourselves, we all have a poor brain In just a few seconds now the bombs will fall like rain Copyright 2008 Sorrow Is My Mask |
