Tact

My escape from sociability
Was going rather well
Sorrow lived inside of me
But very few could tell

Sustaining life through Poetry
I thought I felt complete
Since honesty and openness
Could terminate deceit

Though metaphors apparently
Succumbed to speaking plain
Still introverted moodiness
Took pride in being vain

But giving ear to loneliness
Were culprits I deem weak
Like memories of happiness
Allowing charm to speak

Then soon a heart beat steadily
Where silence should be found
And laughter wrote a melody
Through smiles which came around

But once a challenge has been met
Complacency steps in
And soon looks for another game
Less interesting to win

Therefore a bored Lothario's
Exempt from feeling shame
Since nothingness is left intact
To douse a heartless flame
