Sea of Sanctity

While swimming through my whispered sea
I glanced upon eternity
And saw forever was a place
Though time had faltered out of space

And stared without a sleepy-blink
Until my dreams began to sink
Then thought it wise to swim ahead
To beat the dawn before the dead

But as I heard a shadowed sound
To warn that darkness was around
Your tenderness encircled me
And told me love's a sanctity

Then seeing me inside your heart
As love beyond Poetic art
Drew cries of beauty singing grace
And sorrowed tears I couldn't trace

But dreaming sentiments can wake
Inside the realm of life to take
The hope within a tragedy
To render it insipidly

So what has charmed me most of all
As spiraled fate spun dreams to fall
Was how my soul could finally feel
When I awoke and found you real
