THE EMPTY CHAIR |

An empty chair sits in view, never to be occupied, but it's meant for you,
Basketball, volleyball, softball games, picnics and banquets, it's always the same,
I'm hopeful that one day, you might show, you never do, but i never know,
An empty chair, and an absent father, one who doesn't care, or even bother,
I was daddy's little girl, through day and night, or so i thought, apparently i wasn't right,
You said you loved me, and that you cared, i highly doubt it, since you're never there,
so in the corner, the empty chair still sits, vacant as ever, as my heart tears to bits Copyright 2008 b.k. |
